My vote for worst play of the day. Here is the Covers.com write up:
Play Toronto over Baltimore
After a season off ups and downs, the
Toronto Blue Jays are trying to finish 2009 on the up side.
The Blue Jays have won six straight games and nine of their last 10 – including a three-game sweep of the
Boston Red Sox. Heading into this final series of the schedule, Toronto’s bats have found the form that led them to such a great start to the season.
"The guys are swinging the bats like they did at the start of the season," manager Cito Gaston told MLB.com. "It's something positive to take home and bring back next year."
The Jay are hitting .305 and averaging more than seven runs per game in the last week. Versus the Red Sox, they scored a combined 31 runs and hit 12 home runs over those three games.
They have won five straight games against the Orioles and lead the season series 8-6. Toronto is hitting .277 versus Baltimore and has scored almost five runs per game over those contests.
