Game: Detroit Pistons @ New Jersey Nets (7:00 est)
Analysis: This is a matchup of two bottom dwellers in the East. The Nets however have a much younger team and brighter future. The Nets will rely on Devin Harris and Brook Lopez to exploit their matchups in this one. The Pistons are 2-14 in their last 16 road games, and the Nets are 4-2 in their last 6 home matches. Look for the Nets to win this one at home against a poor road team.
Pick: New Jersey Nets -2
Game: New York Knicks @ San Antonio Spurs (8:00 est)
Analysis: In their last meeting the Knicks and Spurs got into a shootout in which the Knicks won handily 128-115. The Spurs could not keep up with the Knicks pace in Madison Square Garden, and defense was non-existent. Tonight the Spurs get a chance for revenge in their own building. Expect the Spurs to slow down this game and try to avoid a run-and-gun type of game. Look for the Spurs to put an emphasis on the defensive side of the ball. The under has hit in the Spurs last 5 home games and has hit in the Knicks 5 of their last 7 and 4 of 5 on the road. Don't expect to see the type of game we saw last time these two teams met.
Pick: UNDER 212.5 points total
Game: Houston Rockets @ Memphis Grizzlies (8:00 est)
Analysis: The Grizzlies have underacheived all season. They are coming off a game in which they controlled for the most part in New Orleans and lost in the final seconds in overtime. Tonight they face a team that has had their number of the years. The Grizz have lost their last 5 games against Houston, and have lost their last 5 ATS as well. Houston has beaten the Grizzlies both at home and on the road previously this season. Houston is 8-2 straight up against Memphis in their last 10. Memphis just does not match up well against this Rockets team, and look for Houston to exploit these matchups once again.
Picks: Houston Rockets +3.5
Game: Siena Saints @ St.Peter's Peacocks (9:00 est)
Analysis: St. Peter's is a team that relies on it's defence to win games as they cannot score the ball too well. Their shooting percentage this year is at a low 39 percent which ranks 322nd in the NCAA. Their points per game is even worse, 56.1 points which ranks at 343rd. St. Peter's has one quality win this year which was a 1 point win over Alabama, and Siena has at least 3 quality wins this year. Siena are the reigning conference champions and need this game to pursue back to back championships. Siena have defeated St. Peter's in 4 of their last 5 on the road and we expect this trend to continue tonight.
Pick: Siena ML (+115)
