I took Bama +13.5 in running line... i also have a 3 team parlay on UGA, USC and BAMA MLs, since the other 2 already won, im getting basically +112 odds on bama winning outright... looked GREAT before this 21-0 start happened...

I don't think there's anything wrong with the games per se. You just have to factor in intangibles and not focus strictly on x's and o's. Teams like Bama and Mizzou were better teams than their opponents, but neither one showed up so neither one covered.

By the way, I'm one of the people who didn't factor in the intangible of motivation at all on this Bama game, so I blew it there pretty bad.

Ok, I'm not the sharpest tool in the shed so I'm a little confused by that. So are you saying he just bets steam? And I don't know if this makes a difference, but RAS actually sends out a 'warning' to his clients 10 minutes before he releases his picks. Wouldn't he want to jump on the moves immediately?

And there have been some days when he will send out an e-mail around noon saying he has no plays for the day, even though there are plays all day long. If he was just playing line moves, wouldn't he want to wait until later in the day to see if there were moves in the late games?

I honestly don't know either way, just curious.

Its a new year guy and i'm hoping we can inject order into the chaos.

A few weeks back, on a day with 5 or 6 games there were the service area bloated up to 12 pages of crap.

Today is not a very heavy day.......and all of the pertinent info would fill 3 maybe 4 pages. But guys get chatty, and ask questions or make requests, stuff that belongs in the "service play chatter" area.

Its a doublr whammy, with all the crap here.......its too long to read, so guys post plays that have been posted before, and it gets even longer.

I know several guys that were regulars here that are gone. They got tired of slogging through 10 pages to get a few plays.

below are some plays i copied as is from another site. They typically get all of the plays on one page. Forget who the 'expert' is.......but imagine 2 or 3 pages like this.......having everything!!! It can be done. I have also asked 4 or 5 times and this is it for me.

yeah but you dont know who is motivated until the other team is down 21-0. you cant predict that

I agree that you can't predict it with 100% certainty, but Bama was a perfect example of a team that was ripe for a letdown in this game. Just a few weeks ago they had a lead late in the SEC Championship and thought they might be playing for the National Championship. Now they're only playing in the Sugar Bowl and they're playing a Utah team that, although very good, not many people know a damn thing about. Conversely, Utah is playing in the Sugar Bowl (how often does that happen?) and they're playing a team that was ranked #1 for a good chunk of the season. HUGE game for Utah.

Again, I agree with you that you can't predict absolutely who will have a letdown and who won't, but the writing is on the wall a lot more in some games than it is in others. After all is said and done, I have only myself to blame for not looking at those factors in this game.
