The 34-27 Atlanta Hawks will travel to the Time Warner Cable Arena to take on the 26-35 Charlotte Bobcats. The Atlanta Hawks have lost 5 out of their last 7 games and they have lost 4 out of their last 5 games on the road. The Hawks are 4-1 against the spread in their last 5 games but just 2-5 ATS in their last 7 games on the road. The Hawks have the NBA's 15th ranked road offense which is averaging 97.5 points per game. Atlanta is allowing their opponents to score on average 99.7 points per game on the road ranking 12 the league.

The Charlotte Bobcats have won 4 out of their last 5 games and they have won 4 out of their last 5 games at home. The Bobcats are 4-1 against the spread in thier last 5 games. The Bobcats have the NBA's 30th ranked home offense which is averaging 93 points per game. Charlotte is allowing their opponents to score on average 91.4 points per game ranking 4th in the league.

The Bobcats biggest advantage tonight is on the defensive side of the ball were they are giving up just 91.4 points per game compared to Atlanta's 99.7 points per game average. The Bobcats are having success covering at home going 5-1 ATS in their last 6 games at home against Atlanta. Charlotte struggles offensively at times but their defense has set them up to win at home all season. Atlanta is a good team but they will begin to fall in the fourth quarter. Take Charlotte to win at home and to cover in the process.

double-dime bet812 HOU -5.5 (-110) BetUS vs 811 PHO
Analysis: Stan is Betting HOUSTON today. Stan likes HOUSTON here as Phoenix is playing their 3rd road game in 4 nights. Stan has Houston winning by 10-13 points. TAKE HOUSTON as STAN SHARP'S FRIDAY NIGHT MISMATCH BIG BET and make them a DOUBLE DIME PLAY.

Friday NBA Opinion
Minnesota (+15) over L.A. LAKERS
Rotation #819 – 7:35 pm Pacific
The Lakers are the type of great team that saves their best efforts for their more difficult games and they tend to let up when they have a big lead against bad teams. Los Angeles is just 7-17 ATS this season as a favorite of 11 points or more and the Lakers have won by 15 points or more in just 8 of their 32 home games. Minnesota has been horrible overall without Al Jefferson, but they have continued their habit of not getting blown out on the road. The Timberwolves have lost by more than 15 points on the road just twice all season in 29 road games and they are 13-2 ATS as a road dog of 7 points or more and a perfect 8-0 ATS as a road dog of more than 9 points this season. Minnesota is only 1-9 straight up and 2-8 ATS without Jefferson, but they are 2-0 ATS when getting more than 9 points (a straight up win at Miami and a 3 point home loss as a 9 ½ point dog to the Lakers). Aside from the team trends Minnesota also applies to a 112-46-4 ATS big road underdog situation that plays on slumping teams. The opening line of Lakers by 16 points is fair without factoring in the team trends, but a line of Lakers by 15 points is reasonable given the Lakers’ tendency to letdown late in games with big leads and the T’Wolves’ habit of not getting blown out on the road. The general situation still leaves us with value favoring the Timberwolves and I’ll lean with Minnesota at +15 points in this game and I’d take Minnesota in a 2-Star Best Bet at +16 points or more.
