Forget it, what am I saying, I am coming baby, I am coming to that bash.. NO WAY i am missing the opportunity to sit with a bunch of losers and degenerate gamblers like Fishhead and others here. This is my chance of finally feeling good about myself when I sit with all these deadbeats. These boys will make me feel great about myself.

wooooooooohoooooooooo 70 days to Vegas boys.

sportsavant,

I just noticed how many posts you have. WOW, you have a chance to be in the top 10 posters with no life and most free time. SS, I don't want to upset you, but do you have any idea how many posts you have..

To give you an idea. You have been here only 6 months and have 3067 posts. I am the biggest loser in this forum who has been here for almost 4 yrs and hardly left the house, and I have just over 8,000 posts.

Now at this pace you're at, when you've been here as long as I've been here, you will be close to 25,000 posts, and remember, i am only at 8,000 and i am a loser.

SS, you need to get out of the house more, kiddo. You don't want to end up like Fishhead, trust me.. That man has serious problems.

Interesting subject!

Personally I have indeed starting fading someone, but he is not an at rondom picker, because then sick gambler would be right saying that those that hit 50% will be eaten by the vig and so will those that bet on the other side.

This guy studies the matches and then will come up with an even valid reason why he likes a team. The only thing he forgets is that the bookies make the same study and are likely to have over compensated.

aaahhhh, those were the days. i paid off some credit cards between the outhouse baseball picks, fading dicky's buddy and taking the under in the 2nd half of denver nuggets games. of course, that was all in 2003...2004 has been a different story. that's why i quit gambling after college hoops was over.

We were like the Yankees ... it didn't matter who was in the lineup - we couldn't lose.
GIS, Hung, Blue, MFG, Shack, & myself .. what a squad, what a squad.

All I can say is - thank God we didn't have Scan-n-Eggs or Denny ... they must have set a record for negative units

yeah, i walked away up about 3 dimes. the way i figured it, $3,000 for the whole year was not worth the aggrevation. plus, i didn't like hiding it from my wife.

how was the church service? was it worth the $20 you felt you had to put in?

by the way, no church worth its salt expects a visitor to give any money when the plate is passed.

Assuming an efficient market (which we pretty much have already), bookmakers can assure themselves balanced action and therefore a guaranteed risk-free income. In this scenario, after subtracting the vig, the total amount of money won by players will always equal the total amount of money lost.

This means that if some players operate at positive EV (after vig), there must be others who operate at negative EV (also after vig). Moreover, the total positive EV must equal the total negative EV. This is Newton's Third Law as applied to sports betting.

Unfortunately for the non-believers, this is not my opinion -- it is a fact.
