for a guy hell bent on civil liberties I'd suggest you comment less on pot smokers and more on chicago deciding that the police can shoot at you if you don't pull your car over because you may, or may not, be a bad guy. that has a hell of a lot more to do with civil liberties than engaging in a practice that is currently deemed illegal, right or wrong, in this country
When the CPD actually opens fire on a resident and uses this newly announced policy as justification, I'll certainly be interested to check it out further. The announcement per se is not a violation of any civil liberties of which I'm aware, though it hardly sounds like practical policy.
