Centralized planning ways fails miserably just a matter of when

All systems fail eventually because of one single fundamental weakness
People

Hubris.Greed.Narcissism.Stupidity.Evil etc etc

George Orwell wrote Animal Farm once he sussed it
"Capitalism" always ends up as revolution, Communism, Fascism etc when it fails

The only large business which has survived the greed and stupidity of man over millennia is the Church, religion
All other systems have failed, Empires have turned to dust etc

Market goes parabolic.

More like oil and gold goes parabolic ...,

The jawboners are keeping up the hope for action in sept when I think the chance is almost nil if Ben has one same bone in his body with oil/food elevated already .....

You see any of the RNC? (I just saw clips of the speeches really, couldn't watch whole thing.) Made me think this is insane we've fallen this far. Not saying DNC will be much better but they I guess its nice for them knowing it can't bet much worse.

Hell no

Bottom line it's one party system of aristocracy at this point

Only way it will ever change is if true conservatism/libertarianism is ever able to kick out the neoconliberals that control the party now

Left (I think u a lefty leaner pats) is nothing but a never ending growing collection of special interest groups looking for a handout/favor of some sort .... Lost cause

Compared to the republicans of today I suppose, who isn't left of those neo-cons? Their stupidity and the constituents that flock to them amaze me (I guess left isn't that much different, just not as at the forefront right now because Dem president, although I do think your avg lefty isn't nearly as insane as your avg tea party follower)

I'm not for bloated spending, particularly for defense...
About as liberal as I get is I would say long-term wealth disparity isn't a good thing for society. To have 400 people have the same networth as 150 million people probably isn't a good or sustainable thing long-term. I think top 300k people in america make 1/2 of all capital gains taxes. If you wanna raise taxes on the rich don't touch earned income, touch that....That is probably as liberal as I get but big spending/entitlements/welfare state etc a losing proposition long-term.

Income disparities have absolutely nothing to do with taxes as the one party system drum beats

People got rich ... And wanted to stay that way/gain more power and wealth... Government is now bought and paid for to work for them and not the little guy ... Crony capitslism run rampant ... Simple as that

Neocons are liberals not conservatives

Liberals like big government to spend on things ... Including war (war profiteering a big thing for the elite as well)..

Wars good for the rich who make big bucks off it ....bad for the poor who fight it

Also historically the dems are the "war party" (for lack of a better term) ...

Dubya first term ran on a platform of no nation building ... Noninterventist foreign policy ... After bubba had his fun in Somalia, etc .... But then 9/11 happened and neocons pounced and came up with some bullshit to invade Iraq to finish the job daddy didn't and such ...

'historically' does not have much to do with recent events. Besides there is a difference in getting involved in world wars that others have started versus starting up shit in places that were relatively peaceful/stable

BTW Bush was 'hunting for bear' even before 9/11. One of the first things he did as Prez was to bomb Iraq, within like the first month after he took over. So the 'no nation building' was crap from the start

Obviously at this point right/left pretty much the same when it comes to foreign policy ... They just bicker about semantics for the most part

All I'm saying is a TRUE conservative is for a strong national defense but not for nation building/war as last option etc ...

Neocons/war profiteers liberalized the conservatives when it comes to foreign policy some of that has to do with bible beating shit as its us vs the Muslims to blind/get support from the base etc and the shell shock of 9/11 (fascists never let a good disaster go to waste to push what would otherwise be unpopular policy)

Your boy Obama has a love affair with drones .....

That was kinda my point. I didn't just mean income disparity...I meant power/wealth/Citizens United all that crap disparity.

I guess when I said wealth disparity I just meant we're turning into a 3rd world country slowly with elites and everyone else. Luckily this is a slow change and will take a long time before it is very noticeable and I'll probably be old by then...

Yeah I've said it many times we are slowly but surely becoming Mexico north

Alot of the more intelligent Americans that aren't part of the elitist circles will slowly skip town ... All that will be left for the most part will be globalist monopolist elites and a bunch of poor uneducated folk .... I highly doubt ill be in the US at the end of my life the way things are going ....

Take a while though, can never predict the future. Something might give before then (Paul does have a growing following, closest thing to what you speak of in terms of radical change for the better), I dunno we got a lot of smart people in this country I can't really see it going on like this forever. The left/right stuff....Then again after 8 years of Bush I figured we would become more rational/practical and that didn't happen.

Think it's a lost cause but hopefully I'm wrong and the Paul types will keep fighting ... Working to gain more numbers in congress etc ...

Global elitists own pretty much everything of importance now and have the system working specificially for them ... The shitstorm they created killed small businesses allow them to gain a larger chunk of the pie ... As the hav nots are now more dependent Control the media etc ... People in general are dumb collectivist beasts ... Even though they might have intelligence regarding their specific trade ... Just boggles my mind when interacting with others that I have great respect for as far as their intelligence regarding their chosen profession ..... but when it comes to economics politics it's just regurgitating the left/right mainstream garbage they are spoonfed day after day after day

Also apathy/no time cause too busy (both parents have to work to make ends meet etc) with their day to day lives to do anything regarding the current state of affairs is a big problem too
