Also regarding china my point isn't regarding them be "fine"

But rather how interconnected and intertwined the global economy has become .... And how the west peak debt/living beyoun their means downward forces can only be counteracted if china is humming along with "bubblicious" growth rates...
You are seeing many US companies now warning citing not only the EU mess but also due to the weakness in Asia (whose high growth rates have kept them growing modestly overall while the west sputters along flat to slight down)

Über big cap stocks are dead money in general hard to keep growth going when u that big

They'll probably get to a trillion eventually but gonna take a long time

Jobs was anti 7 incher, I trust him more then the new guys buying back stock in the 600s and shit

Apple is now playing copy cat/catchup (7 inches) rather then being a leader

Got an Asus tf700t kicks ass... Haven't sen ipad3 personally but id guess it matches up well... And don't have to deal with apples closed system BS ...

Only apple product I'll ever use is phone and someday I'm guessing I'll switch

cmg bubble was only matter of time

More and more copycats and they eventually will saturate the market and can't depend on new store growth

I prefer qdoba now and they tend to give coupons and you get frequent customer rewards

Also will be interesting if the spotify trend catches on (music rental all you can consume any music u can think of for a monthly charge... But you never "own" the music)

Could eat into iTunes quite a bit

Nothing is wrong w/ catching up, gotta give them credit for realizing that Amazon KindleFire is eating into their market share unlike Microsoft who keeps falling asleep at the wheel.

Yeah we'll see how the surface pans out

Think apple is making a mistake shunning the tablet/notebook hybrid

I'll probably use touch most of time but definetely like to have the keyboard option to use at times

Haven't gotten my dock/keyboard yet for my transformer on the way

Amazon bets big on KindleFire, they're selling them literally at a COST, they're only making $$$ from other services.

See if Apple can match that...

I have one, it's very neat product. Wife loves it.

Y got a kimdle for my mom (no techie big time) and she loves it

haven't seen nexus one yet in person

Just getting more competitive now and the rest of the pack catching up ... Apple will be fine but their growth story is obviously slowing going forward

Plus it's getting to the point on the tablets that there is no need to upgrade the screen in tf700t and ipad3(from what I hear) is amazing

Yeah they can throw in new gimmics and such but getting to point where it's pretty useless to upgrade to the next gen

I held off till a non apple caught up and to the point where I won't see a need to upgrade anytime soon as far as tablet goes

Another big issue is battery life/technology the more u throw in the more it eats

Asus beats ipad3 on batter life and with the dock u get extra 5 hours

Bottom line they can only milk the phone tablet boom for so long

? Is what's next is ther anything? Other then adding unnecssary/non practical gadgets/upgrades and fidgeting with sizes and shit

Eventually the pack will catchup and at that point you ask the consumer

Do u want a device with an open system with more freedom to do what u want

Or do u want a device closed system where you are restricted in what you can do

I think most will.choose the open one like they did "back in the day" with PCs

Apple just got to front run everything and they micromanage everything to extract the most profit and revenue from their devices

Also who knows how long the pay to play app games fad will continue with people forking over big bucks for virtual items ... Old' zynga in the 4s these days

The Ponzi scheme is ready to explode.
The Bernake has got his finger on the trigger of the printing press.
IMHO, QE3 is about to begin.

PM's look okay to me.
Silver is now quite undervalued relative to gold

Buying in on $28 strike. SLV

We are in a wild ride that I cannot believe.

tiznow take a look @ b2gold BGLPF.... A smart guy told me years ago that Clive Johnson was one of the sharpest guy in the biz. That name stuck with me untill recentley ran across them. Built Bema gold then sold to Kinross in 07, basically put KG on the map. Took the entire managment team with him to B2. Two operating mines in Nicarag. and and a couple of really nice develop. projects in Namibia and Columbia in the pipeline. All 3 outstanding jurisdictions IMO.

Stock is expensive, but I covet it. Gonna see if the jews will peel away some shares for me @ 3.00 for 1/2 posit. Long term term hold, put your Momma in this.

accumulating some iag down here for the long haul plain silly ... Pays a decent divvy unlike most gold guys... Zero debt unlike most gold guys... 1 Bil in cash with market cap around 4 bil... P/e around 10 .... If they manage to smack it to single digits I'll keep gobbling up a bit here and there

----------

Audit the fed passed 327-98 ... Likely symbolic as I'm sure Harry and the boyz will make sure it never is put to a vote ...

Corn gone absolutely ballistic of late .. Futures 500 to 800 in less then a month... Lags as far as hitting the average joe at grocery store will show up in a few months ...

Deep Fried Black Swan Goes Global As Drought Spreads From US To Asia, And Now To Southern Europe
Submitted by Tyler Durden on 07/25/2012 - 15:45
Black Swan
The US drought, which as previously noted, is the worst in decades, has already caused corn prices to hit a record, and soy to soar. And as we first reported last week, and subsequently Bloomberg also caught, Asia could well be next to suffer soaring food prices next as "the monsoon season, which is critical for that country’s agricultural production, is 22% below normal conditions for the year." In fact, if there is one thing preventing the PBOC from engaging in full blown easing, it is precisely the threat that just as it floods the market with excess CNY, that the supply of food will collapse causing widespread riots and chaos a la Arab Spring 2011. And now, just to make sure that the threat of full out global food crisis is complete, and the deep fried black swan has truly gone global, we find that a heat wave in Southern Europe is causing the corn crops to wither in a region that is responsible for 16% of global exports.

Zynga implodes down 40% currently on earnings lmao

So much for the spending money on virtual crap on farmville type games fad .... granted I'm sure it's partially due to increasing competition ....
