Zit, no doubt. Debt sucks. I wish we figured that out during Reagan and GWB admins. We would have been better off if these guys never spent anything, now we have to spend more to compensate for the damage. Do you think Obama likes running up the debt?! Of course not. But much like FDR, he has to spend to get us out of the muck.

This maybe the dumbest thing I've ever read in my life. Sorry don't take it personal. What percent of GDP was the Reagan debt and then compare that to the Obama debt. Also your history teacher must have been a complete fool. FDR didn't bring us out of the recession/depression....the war did. I don't get people who say, to get out of debt you got to get in more debt.

people equate government spending to personal spending which is stupid.

you can spend your way out of debt if you spend wisely. you cant on a personal basis, ill agree with you on that.

when it involves me, im a republican. im a college student who works 2 full time jobs and goes to school part time, im in the democrat phase. when i start making money, ill be a republican. not that hard to understand.

Actually, it is difficult for me to understand. How can someone claim that they're stupid now, but will wise up down the line when they start making money? What...do you already know socialism is a failed policy now, but you're just pretending to buy into its agenda and ideas for the time being? Why?

Or maybe this is more of the Left's "Do as I say, not as I do" hypocrisy...for example, Obama and his pals think high taxes are wonderful as long as they don't have to pay them, morons like Al Gore talk about how everyone needs to cut back their energy consumption despite the fact that he's living in a massive house, etc. The list goes on.

i dont make republican money so im championing for human rights and freedoms.

Just an FYI, you already have all the freedoms you could possibly want in this country...granted to you (ironically) by the very country you've said over and over again that you hate. What basic freedom is missing from your life...? How are you being oppressed?

but now i dont care if the rich get taxed 100 percent because it dont affect me.

Actually, it does. If the "rich" got taxed at 100%, how many of them do you suppose would keep their business doors open? How the hell would they be able to afford to pay their employees? That's part of the short-sightedness of the liberal agenda...taxing the "rich" doesn't only affect the person they tax, but also all of their employees.

Jesus Christ, don't they teach a basic economics course at whatever college you attend?

jdeuce. socialism benefits me in this phase of my life.

when ive graduated and run my own consulting gig making good bank or work for a company, i wont care about socialism because i'll be making money and wont want the government to take it away.

but since i dont have as much money as other people, right now i want them to be the same as me money wise which is why i want obama taxing them at a high rate.

but when i make money, i just want to have the wealth and not the other people, like the republicans want.

like i said, not hard to understand.

its the do as i say not as i do hypocrisy.
