Overtime Rule - Following last seasons 7 overtime game between LSU and Texas A&M,
the Southeastern Conference has put in place new overtime rules meant to reduce the
likelihood of any extended games. The new rule has to do with overtime scoring and
requires each team to employ a two point try beginning with the 5th overtime period.
The rule also allows for a mandatory two-minute break period in the absence of a media
timeout after the second and fourth overtime periods. The LSU/A&M marathon lasted
nearly five hours last year.

*LSU coach Ed Orgeron is 21-11 (65.6%) against the spread as the school's head coach.

Mark Richt and Kirby Smart first three seasons at Georgia are almost identical.

First year: Richt 8-4, Smart 8-5
Second year: Richt 13-1, SEC title, No. 3 poll finish. Smart 13-2, SEC title, No. 2 poll
Third year: Richt 11-3, No. 7 poll finish. Smart 11-3, No. 7 poll finish

Ain't that something...………….

Offensive Lines - In the Southeastern Conference, games are won and lost in the
trenches, which means you better have a good offensive line. Therefore, it should
be no surprise that many of the teams in the mix to win the SEC East and West
have some elite players up front. Ranking SEC offensive lines:

1. Georgia
2. Alabama
3. Missouri
4. Auburn
5. LSU

These five teams have plenty of NFL talent up front, and that goes a long way when
facing many of the league's elite defensive linemen.
