And Schwarbs batting 2nd in the order tonight! Like it, get him some more guaranteed ABs. Lineup not officially out, guessing on backend:

1. Fowler
2. Schwarb
3. Bryant
4. Rizzo
5. Zobrist
6. Contreras
7. Baez
8. Heyward.
9. Russell

Regarding Arrieta, I've said it before and it's been mentioned above. Arrieta is not what he was last year...but he's still a pretty damn solid option. His gets into a lot of full counts and can really lose his command 2nd time through order. BUT...Tomlin is not a guy that should have shut us down in G3. If he does again, it's over, but I don't see him fooling this lineup a 2nd time. Cubs need to get 3 off him, and that's more than doable.

I always thought they were hurting themselves by having Bryant/rizzo/zobrist bumped up a slot. That lineup though there is SOLID. The matchup game if you play it later in the game for lefty vs righty and so on, well you almost can't do it in that lineup. If madden would promise to use that line up tomorrow, I'd probably throw some money on cubs to win the series.

Heyward been having solid at bats and contact as of late. He could be the hero tonight. I see a big game out of him.

Series ends tonight. My God, from all the coverage, you would think only one team was winning.

Why is the media so fucking incapable of being neutral?

Because like Trump and politics, the Cubs are the clickable story either way. Easy media pickings. Most everyone is either a Cubs fans or wants to see a "curse" bring it all to an end...

But before G1, ESPN was all day with the Cleveland "City of Champions" hype...which, good for Cleveland, they finally got one last year and in the World Series now...but bit of a stretch there.

How's that happen with the Cubs winning tonight??? And all along, I thought it was the "new math" I took 40+ years ago, lol.

I agree 100%. I appreciate and respect the Cubbies energy. But Arrieta is not what he was last year. Nowhere close actually. And Hendricks has come back to earth. I thought I read somewhere that both Arrieta and Hendricks were both .500 pitchers at best, prior to coming to Chicago. Now they have to go into Cleveland and win back to back games. Not happening! I'll gladly eat crow if I'm wrong. But the Cubbies are just too young, and frankly a little too arrogant (see Chapman and Baez), to beat a loose and very good Indians team.

Should be a fun finish to the series, but I believe Cleveland is going to be celebrating their second championship this year.

Looks like I'm eating crow. Ugh!!! From start to finish the best team in baseball won. Congrats Cubbies fans on a fantastic season and world championship.
