In post game intrvw he said that Varitek asked for slider on shannon, he called it off and went with fastball outside "What if?"

And if he had thrown it, it may be a tied game. Who knows.....

The funny thing was Sox needed this game BAD..and with a 1-0 that was the important thing. Great performance by Schilling and clutch. This was HUGE. THe old man does not blow you away much anymore but he is very crafty. Nice job big guy!
