Economic factor is huge. This year tickets sales have been a lot slower as disposable income becomes tougher to come by with everything increasing in price.

Just flat buying and selling is a royal pain in the ass...

Now if you want to gamble and can predict which teams will be good and which games important, you can make a boatload.

Works better in college than pro - Tickets in college can vary a lot more when two teams are undefeated than any pro game will..

Also works the other way. Games can go to $0 if there is no interest when they roll around and there are ways to make money on those situations also once you are trusted.
