I know most people are opposed to change, but if you post here regularly, you should be excited. The day to day management here was hamstrung by ownership. Ownership didn't care, they haven't cared in a while - their intentions were not "how do we make this a better place for posters", I can assure you.
Whens' the last time theRX added a new feature -any new feature? theRX is a tech platform that hasn't invested in technology in years, how crazy is that? You don't think a business is better off with ownership that wants it to succeed? You don't think a business can be better with a budget? With support? With an IT Team?
Free Odds are a great example. It was probably the most used feature here, and now SBR Odds are significantly better. Way more options. That's just one example. Yeah, it's different. I turned up my nose at it too originally. But I think we're all in agreement it is more user-friendly with more functionality than our old free odds system.
If you still enjoy the theRX, if you still post here, you do so because the people here. And the people aren't changing because of this purchase.I get that this place is dear to many, the luckiest break the old ownership ever got was its head moderators. Either they made great decisions on people or they were lucky as fuck. If it wasn't for the dedication of the two I mentioned previously, I honestly doubt this place would exist today. Not exaggerating either, I really feel that way because how little support they had. Fuck, there's not even other mod's here now. The old RX ownership has been stripping assets from this place for a while, like a classic car being used for parts - but now, hopefully we have owners that want to build it up, restore the community by investing in it... It doesn't change the car...

I'm staying either way. I like the posters here. TheRX just has that old school feel. Glad I got to be a part of the history here. Change is good, especially if it means better tech. But... I hope they fix the tracker thing soon.
This is the best sports gambling forum. The jury is out as to whether SBR will destroy this site. They probably will. It's inevitable. But as long as BAS is still here, the ship will stay afloat.

And just because SBR bought this place does not mean this is going to be SBR light or SBR 2.

Yeah, wouldn't make sense to merge the two groups. Especially not with such an elite group of high and mighty posters here that would be so much over SBR posters that the forum itself may implode. SBR has some quality posters and some goofballs like any group. They probably have more goofballs because they are larger than the other forums combined.
