I am told do NOT back any home NBA teams on New Years Eve, but am not sure of the rationale ...
How are they doing?
Cum Stein's play was a home dog on New Years -- Charlotte -- got wipes out -- maybe he didn't factor in this odd issue?
Nets wipe out the home Hornets in both halves sinking Cum Stein's play today
Okay, I thought I saw Cum Stien's play today when the game was occurring as Charlotte Hornets plus 7 ... although maddoxspors.com says the game went out at more like 6 -- Obviously Cum Stien's pick moved the line a whole point. Makes sense. Okay, the Hornets got just horribly and embarrassingly wiped out at home on New Years Eve -- GREAT way to start the party -- any case, I can't find that play now on Cum Stien's postings. Does he remove some or all of his losing plays from memory? Or am I looking at this thing wrong? And it looks like home teams went 1-7 on New Years Eve Night, the lone home winner being the Grizzlies who blew out the New Orlean's Pelicans. The Griz DID cover! -- the other 7 home teams that played tonight (last night depending on where you are) all LOST miserably (well, a couple were close, but not Cum Stien's or most). So do home teams do poorly on New Year's Eve night games? And if so, then why?
