MILWAUKEE @ PHOENIX | 07/17 | 9:00 PM EDT
PHOENIX -172
ANALYSIS: I see no reason why the home team won't win every game of this series barring injury. Another extra day off in the Finals, which may help 36-year-old Chris Paul, who simply wasn't very good in the two games in Milwaukee. Jrue Holiday defensively has given Paul nightmares. However, I like the Suns because they should have won Game 4 and mostly because of the home/road shooting splits of Holiday and Khris Middleton in this postseason. For Holiday, it's 43.7 percent overall and 30.4 percent from deep at home and 37.5/28.3 away. For Middleton, it's an even steeper 46.8/38.0 at home compared to 40.4/31.5 away

MILWAUKEE @ PHOENIX | 07/17 | 9:00 PM EDT
PHOENIX -4
ANALYSIS: Chris Paul's legacy is on the line after he committed 15 turnovers in the past three games. I believe he'll take better care of possessions at home in Game 5, and that the Suns will get some fast-break points after scoring exactly zero on the break in the Game 4 loss. Outside of Devin Booker (42 points), the Suns' starters accounted for just 38 points in the loss. Look for them to play better at home and back the series trend -- the home team winning and covering -- to continue.

ANALYSIS: Who loses an NBA playoff game when shooting more than 50 percent from the field while the other team shoots less than 41 percent? Phoenix in Game 4, that’s the list, all-time. Lots of turnovers (17) for the Suns -- veteran Chris Paul had five -- were the reason. But the fire and sense of urgency by the Suns and Devin Booker on the road in Game 4 lead me to believe that Game 5 is going to be a double-digit Phoenix win behind the home crowd. I’m on the Suns to cover.

Game: (509) Milwaukee Bucks at (510) Phoenix Suns
Date/Time: Jul 17 2021 9:05 PM EDT
Play Rating: D units
Play: Phoenix Suns -4.0 (-110)
Phoenix dropped both games in Milwaukee. But the Suns return home to the Phoenix Suns Arena where they are 26-16 ATS the last 52 contests. The Bucks lose some luster when they travel. Especially against good teams. They are just 2-8 ATS the last 10 games played on the road as an underdog. Things go from bad to worse in this rivalry where they are 0-5 ATS the last five games played in Phoenix. With this series now a best-of-three, look for the Suns to win and cover here. Take Phoenix. Thank you.

Rotation #957
Brewers -120 over Reds
Woodruff/Castillo
Last night we were on the wrong side with the red hot Reds as they got out to a nice lead and then got hammered in the late innings. I believe the all-star break can slow teams down and it seems like the Reds might be in store for just that. Brandon Woodruff is having a fantastic year as the Brewers have the pitching edge. Milwaukee’s bats are already warmed up since the break and should take advantage of Woodruff and his strikeout ability to keep the Reds offense in check. Take the Brewers.

Game: (973) Houston Astros at (974) Chicago White Sox
Date/Time: Jul 17 2021 7:15 PM EDT
Play Rating: D units
Play: Houston Astros +102 J Odorizzi (RHP), L Giolito (RHP) Must Start
Both Houston and Chicago are first place teams. However, the Astros are striding right now. They own the top-scoring offense in all of baseball and the seventh ranked pitching staff. Houston takes it up a notch when playing solid opponents. They have won all five meetings with Chicago this season, outscoring the White Sox, 36-9. Odorizzi (3-4, 3.61) owns a 3-4 record with a 3.15 ERA, walking only 16, striking out 77, in 60 IP in 18 career starts vs. the White Sox. Giolito (7-6, 4.15) in four lifetime starts vs. the Astros is 1-3 with a 4.68 ERA, walking 12, and fanning just 16, in 25 IP. Houston is 17-5 L22 vs. Chicago, 5-0 L5 on the road vs. teams with a winning record, and 56-21 L77 vs. the AL Central. Take the Astros. Thank you.
