As a person who has bet on sports for 50 years, all I am going to say is that imo relativity is meaningless in the case of how many
games one bets in a given day, but rather it is the ABSOLUTE number of games bet that counts.
Many years ago I had a friend who was also local and who kept in contact with other bookmakers.
His and their feeling was/is that over time that they are MUCH more fearful of a person who bets one or a couple of games
each day or not even as often as that for big amounts of money than they are of someone who bets many games for smaller
amounts of money for very obvious reasons!!

Have you taken math class before? First, 148 x 2 = 296. And yes there are that many teams in action today. The specific math you would need to figure that out is called counting. Second, where do you get 37 games from? He is betting on 19 games NCAAB. Third, the fact that it is mathematically equivalent is important and functionally equivalent to 2/16 NFL games. This type of specific math is known as division. Someone who is more advanced than I am in math I am sure could show you some type of proof that would verify all this. Fourth, basic sports betting theory states that if you believe you have an edge in a game you should bet it. If his numbers come up with 19 than so be it.
Finally, nobody is compelled to bet all the games he recommends. As I mentioned, I only bet a handful of them but value his opinion. His recommendations are just advice for his clients. You can do with it what you want.
