You know this M'baye guy is sounding pretty damned determined and I'm not talking about the talking out of your ass kind of determined. He's sounding real. I've never seen him or Vivian Harris fight but M'baye is a huge dog. Is this a live dog here?

It's hard to say for sure if M'baye is a live dog because nobody has seen him much. I have done some reading on him though.

Apparently he is very quick and has fast hands. On the downside there are rumors that his chin isn't so good (ko'ed in sparring) and his record doesn't indicate that he punches to well. He fought a shot version of Khalid Rahilou and went the distance and Rahilou's chin isn't to good. Anyways, if this is true he won't matchup well with Harris AT ALL!! Harris also has quick hands and hits damn hard. He's a very good counter puncher who can keep a good workrate. You need a couple of things if you want to beat Harris. a granite chin and real good workrate (Ray Olivera) or some power to keep Harris off you. Harris isn't that hard to hit but most guys don;t like what is returned at them to much. Mbaye apparently don't have much of a chin and isn't a puncher. You can't beat Harris by running. He's to tall, fast and rangy. Basically, I don;t see how Harris can lose this fight based on the reading I have done about Mbaye. Save your $$$ for something worthwhile

Gotcha. Thanx for the info. I doubt that any of the casinos in Vegas would even have that fight listed. I know Olympic has the fight listed but I dont know if the casinos would.

harris is a fairly young guy who appears to get better with each fight....and he can get you out of there....especially early......m`baye,is an unknown to me.....no real opposition as of yet to gauge how good he might be....

kinda tough to put much credence in pre-fight braggadocio....

ali and martin is a weird match-up....the size difference is ridiculous....and you have to consider that martin isn`t always in the best shape at her regular fighting weight...she usually carries some excess baggage....now,she`ll probably come in even heavier and i don`t see how the extra, unnatural weight is gonna help her....may just make her slower and tire faster...i don`t think ali is much of a puncher...but,she might frustrate martin into quitting at some point after she tires.....

when a guy(or a girl, for that matter)puts on extra weight, even muscle,to increase strength for boxing the result is usually not good....loss of quickness and stamina usually result....speed and leverage is power in boxing unles you are just a monster heavyweight like george foreman....witness fernando vargas...

and that`s what worries me about the toney-holifield bout....all things being equal at this stage of their careers,i take toney.....but,all things aren`t equal.....holifield is a considerably bigger guy....i think he`s 75% shot....but,he seems to bounce back occasionally for a good effort....depending on the opponent.....

slick guys are holifield`s wolfsbane....toney is a slick guy...not a mover, but very hard to hit cleanly...he`ll hit evander..alot...will he do damage?...i`m not sure...holifield is very tough..

my problem is toney`s conditioning....remember,this guy was a middleweight....he`s got a middleweight`s frame...and he`s a notoriously poor trainer....

now,he`ll almost certainly come in even heavier than usual and that`s a bad,bad idea...almost certainly the excess weight will hinder more than help...and as i said,in boxing, excess weight is almost always bad weight....not talking about a guy that has trouble making weight and decides to move up....roy jones basically fought ruiz at his walking around weight.....and he`s roy jones....and ruiz is a poser and a joke and i`m glad he was finally exposed...the perfect match-up...

holifield,although old,is always in tip top shape...toney isn`t...

i very badly want to use toney....to be honest i touched him a bit when it came out at +170....i expect evander is hitting the wall now...he looked terrible vs byrd...but,so does everybody...

if i was training toney,i wouldn`t have him come in much heavier than the jirov fight....

i think he has a shot....holi only fights in spurts....toney won`t be pressed as hard as jirov pressed him...toney has a great chin....and is slick...ala bernard hopkins...

he`s a great counterpuncher and could possibly frustrate and out point holi....depends on his conditioning....and holi`s degree of decline...

i would have loved betting it going the distance..but, at -400????.....and with that weapon holifield calls a head?......not me...

Byrd vs Oquendo is on for September according to fightnews. All Byrd has to do is sign the deal, Fres already has. I am DYING to know what the line is for this. DYING!

well,a good night for the bank account...hit the really big play with judah(although he sleep walked through much of the bout)..i`m not braggin` about it though....judah skated through the bout like he would have rather been somewhere else...to economical with his punches...disinterested.......lost small on mayorga by k.o. and hit a small play on over 8.5 in mayorga-forrest.....

zab...thanks for the money,honey.....but,you`d better get a little more intense about your profession.....you aren`t gonna sleepwalk through tszyu or sharmba mitchelln or miguel cotto.....made an easy fight a little shaky....

LOL, well my day was just about disterous. I bet the following...

500 on Corley to win 1100
400 on the Judah under to win 400
500 on Nida over Arambulet to win 1500

Nida lost by 1 damn point

Judah almost had Corley out of there and I feel he could have had he applied himself more

900 on mayorga to win 2250
