Arizona Diamondbacks vs. Atlanta Braves

1* Bonus Play Atlanta Braves -159

The Braves have dominated the Diamondbacks this season and I see no reason why that won’t continue here. Arizona will start Mike Bolsinger (1-4, 4.53 ERA) who will try to stop the streaking Braves. Bolsinger is 1-3 with a 4.98 ERA in four road starts this season. The Braves respond with veteran Aaron Harang (7-6, 3.92 ERA) who was able to bounce back with a strong start his last time out after a string of forgettable ones. Harang held the Phillies to two runs over seven innings and now has won three of his last four starts. The Braves are rolling in all facets during an eight game win skein and I expect they get a ninth here vs. an Arizona team that has been struggling all season. "We're trying everything we can to turn around things, but it's not happening," D-Backs third baseman Martin Prado said. At Turner Field, the Diamondbacks have dropped four straight and 10 of 11 while scoring 1.91 runs per game. They've also lost four of five overall with two runs or fewer in each defeat. Meanwhile, NL East-leading Atlanta has won 10 of 11 and is ten games over .500 for the first time since April 29th. And remember, the Braves are 24-18 at home this season. I think the price is worth laying here with the edge in pitching and home field advantage.

Seattle Mariners at Chicago White Sox

Seattle Mariners

Edges - Mariners: Hernandez 25 strikeouts and 3 walks last three starts, and 8-1 last nine team starts during June, and 5-0 day team start this season. White Sox: 1-12 on Saturdays this season. With the White Sox just 3-7 versus A.L. West opponents behind Jose Quintana the last two seasons, look for Hernandez to improve to 3-0 against the A.L. Central this season here today. We recommend a 1-unit play on Seattle.

Arizona Diamondbacks +145

The Diamondbacks are showing great value as a big dog against the Braves. Surprisingly Arizona has played some of it's best baseball towards the end of a long road trip. The Diamondbacks are 11-5 in their last 16 road games after playing 4 or more consecutive road games.

The other big key here is that the Diamondbacks have the edge on the mound. Arizona will be starting Mike Bolsinger, who has really came on strong here of late. Bolsinger has a 2.70 ERA and 1.000 WHIP over his last 3 starts. As for Atlanta's Aaron Harang, he comes in with a 6.00 ERA and 2.056 WHIP over his last 3 starts. Harang also has an ugly 3-9 record over 15 career starts against the Diamondbacks.

Arizona is 4-1 in their last 5 games games against a starter with a WHIP worse than 1.30, while Atlanta is just 1-4 in their last 5 home games when listed as a favorite of -110 to -150.
