Cable is good if you use it as your internet provider. You can get some pretty sweet packages, mine is about 80 bucks for my broadband connection and digital cable with HBO/Cinemax thrown in. Best part also is that you can ditch your landline and just use cell phone. Considering its $22 for a landline that does nothing for me other than get sales calls I think its a steal to follow my example, effective cost of $60 for good cable, good internet, and no sales calls!

Yeah, I too lose my DTV when it rains, but ONLY for about 10 minutes, then it's back in full swing. I also heard it is because the dish is not correctly positioned. But that can be fixed somehow.
DTV is the greatest invention since sliced bread. If any of you don't have it yet, you better get it, because you don't know what you're missing boys.. You'll never watch regular tv again. There is literally always something good to watch 24/7. You even have great digital sound music too.. From Jazz, to RAP, to 60's, 70's and 80's to Easy Listening, to anything..
