Daley. The 29-year-old law student made it clear in his initial interview with Miner that he was more interested in joining the firm to learn about Chicago politics than to practice law.[40]

lol, see Season-Push2, Barack Obama graduated "Magna Cum Laude". For someone like you who only completed the 8th grade, it's latin for "With Great Honor". That means he got "really good grades and accomplished alot.". On top of which he received the Magna honor from an Ivy League university or how shall I say....."a really good school".

So he had already decided at this point that his future would rather be in politics than in practicing the law, not a bad decision if you ask me, seeing that just 15 years later he is close to becoming president. How anyone can read into this that he did not understand the law is beyond me.
Those people who believe he wasn't good at his law studies - don't you think the Republicans would have dug out people by now who would tell stories about him being a bad student if it had truly been like that? Also, I don't think he'd have become editor of the Harvard Law Review just because of affirmative action.
But to be fair I'd also like to say that I don't believe there should be read too much into Palin's college career. This alone would be no reason for me not to vote for her.
Maybe I don’t understand the hiring practices at law firms but it would seem to me that you hire an attorney to practice law and bring revenue into the firm and not be dead wood. Unless of course you doing a favor for the Chicago political machine or you need a token minority in house for appearance sake.
