St. John's has absolutely no depth. Lavin only likes to play 6 games and losing Obekpa is a pretty big blow. Gonna be forced to play deLaRosa and probably Alibegovic and they have barely contributed this season. This game will come down to tempo. I don't think St. John's can win this game if they play to San Diego State's pace. Johnnies are best when they are out in transition. Would expect Johnnies to play a lot of zone to keep them out of foul trouble.

Damn MOB - Second last game on day two my till will likely be empty by then thanks to cinderellas and buzzer beaters.

Early line read slight edge to SDG St.

Bol in the tourney Mobb . Great times for contrairian plays :toast:

it is? recent history has show conf. tournaments are good fade the public times......the big dance is where the public can get their wins.

fading public dogs might be good, perhaps.

but the books have put such low numbers on some favorites (unlike 5-10 years ago when
favorites were always much chalkier and public would lose, sharps who played dogs would win) that it's becoming easier for chalk to win/cover now....

if you have a good half court offense, you can beat SDSU.

SJU does not and they may struggle.

Lol had no idea of the time of the game. I just know san diego st is fucking horrendous. Only way st johns lose is if the game is in the 50's.

Jj obrien might be one of the worst cbb players ive ever seen. Along with the freshmen point gaurd Trey Kell they have that plays sooooo scared. 6"4 pg plays like hes a little girl. This team is so soft

I also wasn't aware of Chris Obekas suspension when I saw the draw. If he was playing. St johns would win by double digits easy

Agreed. First two rounds usually go to the public. Books usually kill it later in the tournament

Agree...looking for the SD St. win here, though...
