I had to update the phone again, so what I did first was deleate the opera mini you have on your phone now. Go to the same thing you did to update the phone (What is it, settings, General, update?? I forget now)
It said for me update 3/3 so check that. And I also found this which solved my problem. After that, it took me about 5-10 minutes to download 3/3 and then go back to the mini.opera and download again like normal. It should work this time around as it did for me
You need to make sure you have the most recent software upgrade for the Instinct released 11/12/08:
Go to "Settings", then select "General", then select "Phone Information": Under "Version" your 2nd line should read "SW:ES.M800 BK14". If the SW version doesn't show this then click "Done" scroll down to "Update Software".
This will search and initiate the download of the latest Software Update. Make sure the phone is at full power or plugged into power. This update could take up to 15+min to complete(time seems to vary possibly depending on service strength in your area?). One part of this update activates the keyboard panel for java/j2me apps.
