Broke off with my last girl cause she asked me straight up if the "girl" I still felt things for was one of my best friends, said the truth, she cried but said it was fine. 1 week later she asked me to cut the ties, I refused, she said it was fine.
2 weeks later she said she couldn't deal with it, she broke it off. She expected me to beg and break ties with the chick I love. People cant stand the truth, we dated for a month or 2. Chicks are crazy.

As mentioned at the start of the thread, the "problem" (her objection) was said to be less with gambling and more to do with you spending too much time away from home, in the books.
If you really drive for a living, and especially in Vegas, you deserve to have some outlet, some source of enjoyment (as does she, as reward for whatever it is that she does), ya'll gotta compromise here. Ban from Books/commiserating with degens is not the best solution adjusting and spending less time doing that is. Ban from gambling is no solution at all, thats just gonna lead to conflict cuz you're gonna deceive, sneak in bets such as happened above. And yes if thats your daughter in your av she is beautiful.
I commend your decision, although I agree that you should negotiate the mobile betting. As a woman, I can almost assure you that is the issue..especially if you are a consistent winner.
I have had men in my life try to "control" my betting... even men who have no vested interest in my finances. I would not concede giving it up either, unless the real issue was time, in which case the partner is in the right.
If you have to lie about anything, you should probably not be in that relationship.

This. Well sorta....If you allow deception to reside within your house conflict is gonna visit...often.
Another important factor also: you EVEN LIMIT (let alone stop altogether) your betting, cuz of this unnecessary arrangement you've agreed to pretend to do with her and theres gonna be SO many times you find out the outcome of a game and say:
"oh shit I so would've cashed on that" which is just gonna leave you pissed and resentful of her which will lead to massive fights.
no way this deal works, no way in hell this works. Ya'll gotta return to the negotiating table this deal sucks, its doomed to fail and wind up bad. Why can't you just go to the books and be home in the, like, 20 minutes you say or maybe an hour at most? That seems reasonable.
