I check in from time to time and the place really went downhill IMO, nice to see some names that hace stuck around. Was never a fan of the "new layout" I fine myself frequenting CTG forums more lately.

Hopefully the site doesnt go away there were some great memories/threads and laughs over the years. Ill never forget the xtranormal videos that oatmealpancakes made about mr newlywed. Was probably the funniest stuff I ever seen on the internet and theres some funny shit out there

Free NFL Survivor Contest sponsored by the forum seems to be having issues as well. It's a thread found in community contests forum. If they really are closing shop, I hope they give us the courtesy of a notice so we can plan accordingly. I'm mostly concerned with the forum contests. Maybe trading info with a few friends

I think if you have paid for contest etc. I’d be looking for solid contacts to get refunds or at least confirmation it’s a go. I believe this site has had a few run off with the bag.

Willie's post was the first I had heard of the free contest and when I clicked the thread I got a message saying that I didn't have permission to see the post.

I hope the site keeps functioning. I do think there are areas where the RX could improve, but with a little more positivity and sports betting talk the site could be great.

If a person gets fired, they never know about it until the exact moment. They get escorted off the premisses immediately.

If a business folds - the employees never get their last paycheck. Its in the bankruptcy process.

If a forum is in trouble that last one to know is it members.

The Site owner is hoping to collect a round of advertising money and never tells the advertiser sthey are closing.
The website will run until the Server company doesnt get paid for 60 ays. Then, that server company simply shuts down the URL.

There will be no WARNING! One day you will log on and Poof!
Notice..."This Site is no longer available or under repair.
Ive seen it many times.

I offered to buy this site and they never responded...
Regardless... now its not worth the cost for the server fees now.

They have done so much damage allowing assholes to ruin threads - that they would have to give away large amounts of money with free entry contests just to draw members.

In addition - the fact that they charge any entries fee an extra portion to run it, for any contest, other than the actual entry itself, is wrong.

Lastly...If they are updating it - you don't remove your advertisers. Updating can be done behind the front page wall and everything would keep on running.
At least thats how a professional web builder does it.

If they re doing it through a low budget independent site builder, it will be full of kinks along the way...and this is the worst time of the year to attempt that. They should have done it in late March

How much do you estimate it cost to pay the server fees at this place ?
What I’m asking is how much does it cost them per year to keep from pulling the plug assuming there are no paid mods or posters

Youre in dream land. This site is worth nearly nothing.

Any business is only worth what it returns in its current state - times two and half -if it has a growth profit record for at least 3 years minumin.
That bottom line is what determines the selling value.

No reasonable investor would invest in a declining site like this one, and use Covers as an example to justify what it may be worth.
..
And this site isnt worth millions in fraction pennies, let alone dollars.

If it was worth anything, it would be operating in its current profit to justify its sale price.
Ive owned businesses and sold them.

This site is NOT earning much at all.

Take a survey here and see how many RX members joined Draftkings-etc- from here as an example and went through the link that WAS on this site?

There's not a hundred posters here who have gone though the RX to get into a casino. And also the casino only sends them a small fee if the person has made a cash deposit ONE time.
When a player adds money to his account after the first deposit- the casino never sends the RX a cent afterwards.

Go look at every newsletter out there. It is filled with big return marketers. Have you EVER seen the RX advertised in one of those?
