Hope they get this deal done ASAP. He certainly deserves to be the highest paid QB in the league. Even though they'll have to cut a few of their defensive players for cap reasons, we all know Russell Wilson carries that team. Sign him up. BTW, the Packers will sign any one of those LBs that the Seahawks will have to cut.
You can't be serious! Really? He carries that team? Wow! I suggest you go back and look at that team again. M. Lynch carries that team as the offensive juggernaut. Period! Without Lynch, that team is not as successful as it has been. Wilson, is a good manager, but if it wasn't for Lynch to put them in those positions, they wouldn'tve made it thus far. Put an avg RB in his place and tell me they'd still be as successful. I'd tell you you're FOS. They dont call him "Beastmode" for nothing. Technically, that last play was the right call because it'd give you 2 timeouts rather than just one. But when THE successor of the team is your RB? Why on earth would you want to chance ANYTHING but putting it in the hands of the one guy who's given you the MOST success on the team? He wasn't a media darling and they didn't want him to become MVP when the guy clearly deserves it whether he doesn't talk or is unsociable or whatever. They chose at that moment, to make RW the star. It was a make or break point for him. Unfortunately he broke. He's no Tom Brady nor will he EVER be! He does have a good head on his shoulders and I think he'll be a pretty successful QB. However, 5 INTs in one season of playoffs doesn't really equate to greatness when you're in your 3rd yr.
I will say I believe he deserves to get paid for "helping" his team get where they were. Just dont say he carried them. He has the talent around him. Brady didn't have that type of talent offensively and look how much success he's had? He carries that offense...
