I think a lot of Seattle's problems the last 1.5 years had to do with Wilson's own struggles, the team had very good WR's.

I would've made the deal if I were the Broncos but not sure where I'd rank him now, he is getting older and his playing style doesn't really profile to age well. As his athleticism declines, we'll see if he can adjust. No track record for someone of his prototype doing so really.
Did they give up any key players for Wilson ?

Adams trade was awful , and it was at the time

Carroll is a stubborn as shit coach

Their drafts have been awful aside from getting Metcalf

Not an organization I’d wanna play for, especially with the two best teams in the conference in your division
The organization has tried to make some moves. Some worked. A lot didn’t. There’s much worse organizations historically to play for.

Like Cincinnati. ?

Alright that’s fair that they’ve made some efforts to

Bengals are a cheap af franchise, though they definitely have drafted better than the Seahawks

Maybe just recently. Seahawks were a contender for several years because of the draft...They drafted players as good or better than any team during that time.. All teams draft in cycles...Bengals have drafted well recently.
You would hope so with the draft position they've been in for years.

Stings being a Seahawks fan losing Russ. What a great player and good dude, imo anyways. I never thought this day would come tbh. I truly thought he would retire a Seahawk. He has taken a beating though and the trading away of draft picks for players hasn't really been a winning strategy for us. I hope that we can make the most of these picks we got for him because if not, it's going to be a long long time before we win like that again. Drew Lock probably won't even start for us. I hope Russ the best in Denver. I just don't know what to think going forward for the Hawks.

Wonder if they have eyes on next year's draft for a potential great QB

Big fan too sorry to see him go..He wasn't loved in that locker room, He's also been more of a wussy since he married Clara.
It'll be a while before Seattle contends again.

He was in a bubble a bit I think...over the years he actually start talking exactly like Pete..Cadence lots sayings... rah rah Pete stuff.I never like Sherman much but yeah him and Wilson didn't like each other ...Golden Tate also hated Wilson but he also slept with Wilsons first wife.
He'll do great in Denver they have most of the parts to win big now IMO.

Avocado33 I am not sure. What is funny is, in retrospect, I really really wanted Ryan Tannehill coming out of that draft class. I do not know exactly why but I thought he was going to be something special. I also thought, initially, that Matt Flynn was going to be a good game manager for our team and help us compete. However, when Russ went bananas in preseason that year I knew he was going to be great. I remember Gruden and Mel Kiper getting into it on live television, boy was Gruden right! Russell Wilson has represented the Seahawks to me these 10 years and I can't think one without the other. In this draft class I wouldn't mind a flier on the boy from Cincinnati if at all possible.

Pete sucked as an NFL coach before Wilson. He will suck again until Seattle finds another top QB. That might be awhile. He’ll probably step down after a year or two and won’t be around when they finally find another guy.

You could say the North was more competitive and fried last year than the West.
LOL at Raider fans. Hope you enjoyed your one year playoff run.. I don’t think Carr is a bad QB. He’s middle of the pack as far as NFL starters go. But the Raiders now have hands down the worst QB in the division. Hard to make the playoffs with that situation.

Niners had the worst QB in their division

True. That Niners roster is loaded though on both sides of the ball. Way better than the Raiders roster. Put Carr on the Niners last year and they might win the Super Bowl. They made the NFC title game despite Jimmy. I think everyone would agree with that.

Good point though. Outlier situation. Put good point.
