Dave, what's your update? I hope for the best.
[FONT=Verdana,Tahoma,Arial,Calibri,Geneva,sans-serif]I had cyber/knife on the brain tumor and 3 chemo/immuno treatments. The first two
were a walk in the park. The last one damned near killed me. Death was looking
pretty good.

So I declined further treatment. I went ahead an had a MRI and PetScan to see if
what effect the treatments had. Much to my surprise both the brain tumor and mass
on my lung have both shunk in size by half.

The cyber/knife treatment has a 95% success rate. The chemo/immuno not so much.

I have the immune system of a horse so I'm hoping the Keytruda worked. It stays in
your system for up to a year but it also can fuck with vital organs, liver, kidneys
etc. Blood work comfirmed all organs are normal.

I'm due for another round a tests in March. So we'll see how it goes. I'm cautiously
optimistic at this point but it can go bad in a heartbeat.

I know you don't believe in this stuff, but you're on the prayer list, man.

Certainly hoping for the best. You're one of the good guys.

[FONT=Verdana,Tahoma,Arial,Calibri,Geneva,sans-serif]It's amazing how twists and turns in ones life can effect you psychologically. Things that
used to concern me are now gone. Each day is a blessing to me now and I attemp to get
the most out of each and every one of them.

When I retired I stopped setting goals. I'm now back to setting goals, a bucket list if you
will. Don't laugh but a resent goal I set was to live long enough to see Trump get reelected.
And by coincidence it would mean another football season.

Baby steps my friend, baby steps.

I heard you. At times most of us go thru something to have us look at things different. Had some roller coaster times in my life. So I get it , even if its not a health issue

Best wishes for many more football seasons.

cancer mortality rates have been dropping in N America for over 2 decades -- with improved diagnostic techniques/screening, treatments, and fall in smoking rates. BY FAR the numero uno environmental/behavioural risk factor for lung cancer is smoking. What an incredible killer-invention the cigarette was . Massive burden on healthcare , costs.

fun facts-

-cancer is the number 2 killer in USA, heart disease is King of the Hill
- lung cancer is the leading cause of cancer deaths, numero uno

Cancer deaths have fallen yet again, thanks mostly to huge declines in smoking, the American Cancer Society said Thursday.

“A decline in consumption of cigarettes is credited with being the most important factor in the drop in cancer death rates,” said Dr. Otis Brawley, chief medical officer of the American Cancer Society.
