Wouldn't sprint more than 3 days a week. Used to do sprints on football field.10-100 9-90 8-80...........1-10. after each 1 take a break of that many seconds in between. After 100 a 100 second break. After a 20 a 20 second break. I loved it
As Willie would say, it is genetic... some can run distance until they are in their 70's, no problems with back-knees-hips-shins-ankles-feet. Most cannot.
As you age, you need to be careful and listen to your body.
