Runline + totals for the same game in a parlay? Does your book take them?

Personally I suggested that we just make a special pussy agent profile.

Not any of the books I've worked for take those!

he's right!! and sorry I get in the way but the problem is that those who take the plus one and half runes will most likely take the under, but those who take the minus one and a half would go the opposite (over) and the reason for is...

if let's say the yanks are playing the worst team in the division you would want to avoid anyone taking them on a parlay -1.5 -200 (runline)to the over 9 -120 because the payout would be higher than -400(moneyline) yanks to the over

I have never taken them but agree that it doesnt happen all of the time and we are here to take bets, not to play softball

trust me man!! I would take anything if I owned one, because if you have good line managers they will check on constant winners and if all they do is parlay that shit just to ask him or her politely to not only play those correlated bets (runlines to totals) and mix it in with teasers or straights to get the money back

It's hard enough to win the game by 1, never mind 2 or more. Late innings team up by 2 runs, lead off guy gets on and they let him steal second uncontested. I can't tell you how many times this guy lost because of that alone.

Don,t they call a sharp guy who bets parlays..........a square?
Reasons why a sharp player might bet a parlay:

  1. The parlay's constituents are positively correlated with one another.
  2. The player is a Kelly bettor and is wagering on contemporaneous events (i.e., is using parlays as a means of risk management).
  3. In order to circumvent betting limits.
  4. In order to convert a freeplay to cash.
  5. Because a book offers a parlay card that includes one or more wagers hung at stale prices.
  6. Because a book offers promotional parlay odds that effectively provide better prices than those available elsewhere in the market.
  7. When parlays come packaged with the purchase or sale of extra points at reasonable prices (i.e., teasers and pleasers).

This would be my guess. But yeah if ya got a JOE who just got lucky, why not let him continue.

Also them seem much stronger on certain totals, 7 comes to mind as one we had luck with in the past

Best of luck

What Granchow said. DO NOT TAKE THEM

Does your software/profile allow the ability to shut this parlay combo down or do you have to shut pars off all together?

The problem is when a guy bets both sides at you...

If he's just betting fav and over or dog and under...

Big deal

by far the best reply:103631605, yet I think he's full of BS(ganchrow), dont worry about favorites(-1.5 -160s or anything with a high moneyline), what would really worry a book is if they are playing -1.5 +190 or bs like that, the example I gave is for a sucker better (the yankees given before)

sharps tend to take -1.5 + 100(even) or higher(much more value the higher it is), public on the other hand will lay the chalk on games that are overpriced and lose it on the 9th inning (must really suck to see you almost won it)
