Ok, well I looked around for a minute, and I see that I got in as the 12th and final team, so thats good (for me).
A few questions/thoughts:
-I noticed that the player universe is "NL". Thats fine if thats what people want, but with twelve 21-man teams we'll basically be drafting the entire National League. I for one vote that american league players be added.
-The draft has been mentioned, but I'll call again for a live draft, probably the best part of doing fantasy sports.
-I see the league is set as head to head rather than rotisserie. So we play for each category equalling one point, right? Like if I win all seven batting categories and the opposing team wins all seven pitching categories we tie 7-7 for the week?
If things are going to be done like this, we need a minimum number of innings pitched per week per team. Otherwise I can start a closer on March 25th, have him throw one perfect inning, and all of a sudden I am winning ERA, WHIP just like that. The default yahoo number is 7, thats not too many innings, I hope people agree with me on that.
-Also we might want to consider an odd number of categories so we don't have 7-7 ties all the time. If we had 13 categories there would always be a winnner each week.
My vote goes to eliminating pitcher GIDPs or Runs, or maybe batter K's (i'm guessing lower is better but still..) or batter walks (just a strange category). If I had to kill a stat, it would be picther runs allowed.. this is already covered in ERA pretty well.
Those are all of my thoughts for now. What do you guys think?
