I was willing to let it go, but since you seem not to respect the rules, I am now pushing for penalties against your team for failure to comply.

Only a complete fuvking two bit MORON edits posts in a contests, then vehemently defends his actions on the grounds that they were "not picks."

Hammy,
Come on buddy. Let's not make a mountain out of a mole hill.

Let's leave it at the friendly competition that it is.

BZ- I brought the topic down here to be civil. Unfortunately, Kodiak continues to take things in a different direction. You have been very civil which I recognize and appreciate.

If I were in your shoes, I wouldn't be happy with a win that I got while breaking the rules and assuming an unfair advantage over the other team. For example, I passed on Cle RL -1.5 yesterday because I could not find it a # better than +270 with an advertiser book. 5 DIMES had it at +310 or +330, so I passed on the game for lack of value in the # I was getting. Granted, I may have lost the game, but the point is that we have been selecting our plays from a smaller pool of available numbers.

The editing of posts in the contest thread is indefensible. This editing continued even after the issue was raised by RPM; Kodiak edited a post on the very day that RPM repeated that there will be no editing allowed. Kodiak can't even recognize that his actions were improper. Ok, so be it.

However minute an advantage that your team obtained, I would just not be comfortable with it if I were in your shoes.

Hammy,
I hear what you are saying and believe me if I thought there was any unfair advantage I would quit the contest immediately.

Honestly, I wouldn't care what book was used and if you posted a reverse run line and it won-so be it. However, I do recognize the fact that RX books should be used and supported.

As far as unfair advantages are concerned-

I think all plays should be listed (as that is what the majority of players play) yet I encountered a loss on day 1 which cost our team 1.55 units.

Then there was the big issue of my post play that was really because the site was running slow that day. Take a look at my post in the baseball forum:

posted May 28, 2003 02:03 PM
Yesterday:3-1 +7.4 units
Overall:135-108 +34.8 units

Today:
Sea -65 4 units

As you can see I made the play at 2:03pm. But by the time I was able to get back in to the site to post in the contest thread it was 2:06pm.

Now tell me, do you really think I was trying to pull a fast one here? The play was not counted which cost us another unit.

So in actuality our team has been penalized 2.55 units which could be considered an unfair avantage to the RR squad.

But since this is a friendly competition and we are all stand up guys (and RPM is graciuosly acting as referee)I let it go in the hopes that we all continue to have some fun with this thing.

Let's get back to some good (hopefully) competition!

What a WHINE ASS BIATCH!!

LOOK EVERYONE HAM IS WHINING ABOUT A POST EDITED 9 hours, yes 9 hours, before game time and the fact that oasis was used instead of another offshore.. lol... WHAT A LOSER!

Kodiak, this is classic man. I miss debating with you.

Before we didn't really have anything to fight about, but now there is something at stake.

Nothing against you guy, you are all good in my book. This is a contest and as a member of a team, I operate on behalf of the team in order to secure its best interest. There is nothing personal about it all.

I have made a proposal in the contest thread and I ask that you, BZ and MC have a look at it. I have suggested that Team RR be allowed to select lines from ANY book at all for the remaining 6 days of the contest. Since your team chose games without the restriction for 9 days, TEAM RR is by no means made whole by this compromise.

Hammy,
I said my peace and stated my position. All I have ever wanted in this thing is for us to stick to capping and have some good competition.

I know I wouldn't feel comfortable with your solution.

good luck the rest of the way.

quote:
I disagree. You know well that there was no advatge and that the line Kodiak posted were the same ad an advertized book.

Actually, I mentioned that he got a <super line> on the d backs. As it turns out, Oasis had a great # on that game.

I have said all along that I am open to other resolutions. As I said above, it does not make sense to determine a week later whether or not other books had the # in the same ballpark as Oasis. If you want to do the footwork, then go ahead an do it. It is not my job to prove that your team's breaking of the rules was "fair."

It shows disrespect and bad sportsmanship when your team blatantly and repeatedly violates material rules of the contest, then try to put the burden on TEAM RR to show that an unfairness has occurred as a result.

You should have spoken up that you thought it was unfair. Why did you keep silent about it until now??

What do you propose that we do about the MLB FORUM editing picks and using lines from sportsbooks other than ad books?

I am ALL ears. Please do not push the argument that editing posts and using lines from shops other than those specified is presumptively "fair." If you can prove to me that all of those Oasis numbers were available at another shop, please do so.

Promoating a contest. Telling others what to do since he has that Napoleon concert(I know that will shoot right over your flat head). Acting like a man in charge and with a mission. Funny how this is probably the only time in which he can call a book and talk to someone. When you don't even have an account at the sponsoring shop doesn't it seem a little funny giving them orders as to when and where to reply to your e-mails? Nah, I guess it's just all in a days work for the flat top Don King of the contest world.

BTW- Since you are telling everyone to hurry up and get their money in for the contest, when is it that you plan on sending in YOUR post-up? Seems like you love to give orders, yet are not one to follow even your own set of rules. Go ahead young Skywalker and do what you do best. Post all day without saying a word. The favorite bands, favorite food, favorite ball player, favorite scam you were most proud of as a youngster and all your other mundane threads are proportionate with your acumen as well as your integrity.

Fred, time to go now

Bye Bye Freddy...
