OK Guys, once again, thanks to the generosity of Royal Sports, we will be offering a new, fun way to win some money on the Superbowl this year..
We have come up with our "internet" version of the Superbowl-squares board for the big game this year....
Tim and I have put together a fun way for posters to get in on the action, and have some extra chances at free money this year....
We will be running our board, just like your local taverns, offices, and clubs do....
This contest WILL BE LIMITED to the first 100 people that enter, due to the fact that there are only 100 spots on the board, and THERE WILL BE a 100 post minimum to enter...(and lets not repeat our fiasco fromt he last contest, of someone running around all forums replying with hello, gl, and me too) just to get 100 posts.......if that is the case, we will give your spot to a contributing poster
All posters interested in playing will need to email contest@betroyal.com with their posting handle and acct number to be eligible....the first 100 emails recieved will get spots....So dont wait til the last minute.....I will post an updated list each morning with people entered....you may want to cc to me at bew47710@aol.com to insure we get your email, we will compare lists, since this is a first come first serve contest...
Now as usual, i know everyone has a ton of questions, and i will anticipate most of them and try and respond below....and for a little added fun, i will also try to guess who would ask which question (no one take offense, this is for fun only)......
1. Playersonly69 asks, " Do we have to deposit to our account to be eligible, or just have an account number"?...
A: for purposes of this "free" contest, you only need a valid Royal acct number and 100 posts to be eligible to play
2. Noreaga asks "Bucs, you Bush-backer, how the hell are you gonna be able to give people a spot on a "board" that doesnt exist?"
A: Good question, however we have worked everything out...The order of your entry will be the corresponding "square" you get on the board, once we have the 100 entries, Tim will randomly assign the numbers across the top and down the side, and everyone will be notified of the numbers they have
3. Tang asks "Since I plan on winning everything, I want to make sure that my numbers can win more than once, can they?"
A: Yes, Tang, a poster may win more than once....say someone draws 7-3, well then they would win first quarter on 7-3 score...they could also get the halftime if the score stays the same, or is 17-3, 17-13, 27-3,27-13, etc....
4. BeantownJim pops in and asks "Bucsfan, you're too stupid to pull this off, there is no way to assign numbers over the internet, how do I know its legite"?
A: Well, Beantown, its simple......anyone can figure out their number if they want to.....draw up a simple board, with 100 squares...starting int he upper left, that will be square 1, and going across, number all the way to 100......When Tim randomly assigns numbers he will go across the top with numbers 1-10, these are the numbers for the team "leading", then he will randomly assign numbers down the side, for the "trailing" team......If the first number across the top is 8, and the first number down the side is 4, then box one would have all scores of 8-4, 18-4,28-4,38-8, 18-14,28-14,28-24,38-34, etc.....Its actually very simple...
5. Poster KJutt asks "Can my friend and I both play with the same account number, and password?"
A: No, one entry per account, and ip address, to be fair to all
6. Playersonly60 asks again " Will I know what my numbers are before the game starts, so that i know its not rigged?"
A: yes, as soon as we have 100 people with a box #, we will draw the numbers, and list them here, for all to see......and as history shows, any number has a shot.....everyone thinks 7-3 are the best, but u get 2 fgs by one team, and everything changes, now 9 looks good, 6 looks good, a safety, and the whole board goes in the toilet....LOL

This was all in fun, hopefully everyone knows that, and doesnt take offense, just trying to add a little humor to the boring rules....
Much like those poor accountant guys at Price Waterhouse showing up at the Oscars, you know this is going to be the boring part, so I tried to make it fun....
