Anyone know if these remaining cases were taken care of?

It would be good to see Royal back on top again, imo.

STAY TUNED FOR SOME GOOD NEWS ABOUT ROYAL...

Just as it was my responsibility to take them down when there were slow pays, it is our responsibilty to clear their name when they have met all the requirements to be on this site again...

Nice to see everyone apparently getting paid.

Do I smell an advertising contract announcement coming?

I am not playing any games at all, and i don't care about any advertising shit, i am seriously just wanting to know what the situation is with Royal.

It appears to me Royal, like Heritage, made it through a big run on the bank, and i want to see if they are back on track.

I would really like to see them back on top again, thats it. Believe what you will though, it's all good.

Fair enough UB.....RPM, you had basically lynched them, but I know it's not your "fault". Ya gotta do what ya gotta do.

TT,

wasnt my intention to lynch them at all. hell, i didnt even make a withdrawal from them. i left my money in and road it out.

i think a more fair statement is i lynched mw for leaving them up when things got out of hand.

Maybe that's the case RPM, but when things looked shitty, I was seriously questioning Russ's decision to keep them up & all I heard was that he felt that there was big bucks behind them & he felt that no one was going to get stiffed.

Ken & Russ each get whatever info they get & make their decisions based upon it. But you look like a silly little puppet for your attacks on me when I defended them. You know it, I know it, we all know it.

Great to hear the good news from this side of the road--no one should base their decsions on any one forum owner\mod\etc.

Get a consensus, use your head & get paid-usually.

ttin,

i didnt attack you. i simply asked why you were over here talking about other less important things, instead of being over at mw asking why royal was still up.

if thats an attack, im in serious need of sensitivity training so that ill be careful not to hurt your feelings in the future.

and btw, im nobodies puppet. wish i could always say the same for you...

Spare me.....I call bullshit on both sides.

Ken did the right thing & said things are looking better & things are better. Maybe someone got paid, maybe someone got a big football advertising contract. Maybe both....time will tell.

ok ttin whatever.

royal was under contract here until sept. 1st, and was already trying to stay aboard for football season. shrink pulled them down BECAUSE IT WAS THE RIGHT THING TO DO. simple as that.

now you come in here trying to spin it and stir up shit.

things must be slow at mw for major to send you on this boring assignment...

I'm done arguing with you RPM, but this has nothing to do with anything besides me backing them & you calling them dead. You went after my head for backing them-you have a job to do and you did it.

All the players are getting paid, Marty is apparently getting paid. All is well.

Where's JJ & all his "Royal is done" bullshit that every mod here piled on to?

I'm not stupid....spare me the games.

I to campaigned to have royal pulled over at MW. Not out of hate or addenda but for the sole reason that players should be warned. As the facts unfolded it looked really bad for Royal. I never wished Royal any harm and hoped they would stay in business, not b/c I use them but b/c the more quality books out there the more choices a player has, the key word there is quality book. If they have taken care of all of their problems then that is great but at the time it was and is better to err on the side of caution. I think that due to past situations that all players should have all of the information available. This way they can make an informed decision on what to do with their money. Also due to the past, books are presumed to be guilty based on credible info until they prove themselves otherwise.

If royal survived this run that is nothing but good news and they deserve a pat on the back. Give props to royal if they pull this off don’t flame the people that supplied the info.

Good luck to All

These are tough situations and what happens here is exactly what makes it tough for sites like this. I am going to go to bat for Ken and the RX here because I believe he was right, no other reason. We found out about some key people leaving Royal. We found out about some random troubles there, still small stuff at this point. We found out they were on the block to be sold. We found out that Spiro was trying to buy them and then pulled out. We found out he had not gotten his money yet and wondered if something spooked him. We found out that some of the ex-employee(s) had not gotten paid and it was for substantial numbers. We were hearing about slow pays starting up. This was ongoing and not sure of the exact timeline but you get the picture. When I discussed it with Ken we both agreed we probably as a player would not send money to them at that point in time. Maybe the reasoning is harsh towards the books and err's too much on the side of the players but we decided if it wasn't safe enough for us it shouldn't be safe enough for the other players. Some people come to these sites and have no clue about what is going on and we were a litle worried about things at that point. That was the extent of it. There was NO AGENDA to get Royal, not even close. It was Ken's final decision and he in fact labored on it because he thinks highly of the people there and didn't want to do it. It just came down where we'd rather be safe than sorry. There was no agenda other than that, Royal had planned on continuing on here as advertisers and I saw the e-mails myself. The move cost us money, it didn't help us in any way. If you notice after they got pulled they never came in here and disputed the fact they were not going to leave the site. I can not speak for anything I am not invovled in but I am going to say on this we wanted to do the right thing and I believe we did. Watchdog sites in my mind should be doing more and we are trying to do that but this is why it is difficult. When you act on things you will be 2nd guessed if things clear up but that is exactly what we wanted to happen! We didn't want to be "right" about Royal, we wanted to be safe.

In closing I know we did the right thing based on what we believed. I am happy with it and hope we will not ever shy away from doing the exact same thing again in the future. We owe it to the advertisers who are up there to take action or we cheapen the whole bunch of them. We also owe it to the players to do what we think is right and more importantly we owe it to ourselves. I would hate myself if we knew what we did and did nothing about it only to watch them go under 3 months from now with everyone's money. There is no science to this and it is hard to know what is what but when we do get information I think its very important we act on what we get. Some will no doubt see it different but this was a key moment for me because I saw this site will do what is right without regard to their bottom line when players money is at stake. That as a player really meant a lot to me as I have been stiffed in the past and know what it feels like. There is a history of mistrust with some "watchdog sites" but we are doing good things around here, things I am proud to be associated with.

Amongst criticism a man (site) can neither protest nor defend himself; he must act in spite of it and then it will gradually yield to him.
