The good news is the Big 12 North still sucks. Missouri just finally started playing football a few years ago. K-State used to pound them every year along with the Jayhawks who also recently arrived. Nebraska had their glory days. Colorado has no offense. Iowa State is still Iowa State. K-State used to dominate and they still can if they get Gary Patterson from TCU. K-State is still in the Big 12 and this conference is considered the best along with the SEC. Any coach from a smaller conference (Patterson) would love to have an opportunity to coach against the "big boys" such as Oklahoma and Texas.

As a Husker fan, I was sad to see this day come. With the explosion of the spread offense and the aforementioned comments (which I agree with) of KState being a transition and not a destination job. KState is screwed for the next couple years with all the JC nonsense they tried pulling and I think the fans realize that. This wouldn't be a bad spot to hire a Snyder/Stoops family coordinator, he'll get more leeway this way. I agree with an above poster who mentioned Venables, the one guy who I have great respect for and what no part of seeing in the Big 12 is Todd Graham (due to his brillant offensive mind).
