As for the original point of this thread, it does seem unfair that equal time is not given in these debates. That's wrong.

I think it's probably more about ratings then hating on Paul. I believe the networks believe more people will watch if candidates with name recognition are talking.

I may be wrong. The networks may be wrong. JMHO.

I don't think McCain gets the GOP nomination.

Interesting observation about Northern Democrats, the last being JFK in 1960.

1968 & 2004 Northern Libs were close, but 72, 84 & 88 were landslide defeats.

By today's standards, JFK would actually be a conservative.

Dems gotta break that Southern stranglehold while retaining NY & CA.

The "over-hype" I'm referring to only exists at theRx. As for being under the radar with the majors, maybe he is. I'm not sure that can be either proven or dis-proven.

As far as bumping threads? Interesting! please tell me what topic I've run from, because I think I've stated my positions whenever asked. I can't say the same about many of my usual adversaries on these here boards.

But if you mean that in the sense of "most positive, effective leader who brought important changes to our troubled nation" then you need to pass the dutchie to the left hand side mon. If Paul got the Republican nomination (which he won't, million to one against) and got elected president (which he won't, ten million to one against) he would be locked down by a Congress that is so happy to finally be rid of him and his annoying "constitutional authority" diatribes that he would accomplish next to nothing during his single term, and be promptly replaced with either a rabid Republican or Democrat that makes W. or Hillary look like meek middle of the road pragmatists.

You're right about that. In fact, if you dig back through my post history, I was quoting and bragging on Paul long before he became a conversational topic around here -- at least three years ago if not farther back than that. Don't misunderstand my pessimism about his campaign; it isn't a reflection on Paul but on the American public.
