I don't post my plays homedawg. Too much drama. I used to post, and it just became a distraction. If you win you get 20 guys wanting to jerk you off, and if you lose you're treated like a red-headed stepchild and are outcasted like a leper. I could really care less what people think of my plays. Seems naming your plays "GOY or GOM" or having cool colors for each type of bet in your thread are more important than how you actually cap the games. I just try and pull info from all over the web and make contacts with cappers that actually do practice good technique. The only respect I need I get from having confidence in myself. I just post when I see someone telling me that there is gold to be made in making a shitty pick. Some call me an asshole, but you can't really get your point across on here otherwise I've found.

Florida gets out to the early lead after De La Rosa fails to strike out the side and gives up a 2 out HR to Cantu. Was not impressed by Anibal's stuff at all in the 1st although he got the outs. I think he definitely gives up some runs this inning.

Were you referring to the 2nd inning? :missingte

I give up, you're right De La Rosa is head over heels better than Sanchez. Oh wait, it was De La Rosa that walked the bags full.

De La Rosa can't throw a strike. If you are facing a guy that hits .132 versus lefties, at least try and give the guy something to hit. Not liking this.

Are you actually watching the game?

PS, I never said De La Rosa was a better pitcher. Not sure where you are getting that from. Better pitcher in this situation... yes... not a better pitcher though. :ohno:

Yes I am... are you??? De La Rosa just walked in a run, his 3rd walk of the inning.

Yes unfortunately I am. :ohno: Wish I wasn't at this point haha.

De La Rosa has no control at all. I know he's not a great pitcher but he's not usually this bad. The last thing you should do against a team that can't hit lefties is walk everyone. Hopefully the Rockies' offense can make up for this bum.

He's gotten 6 outs and gave 4 batters free bases. This is getting bad. Something is wrong with him.

Well at least you are admitting he is a bum... baby steps towards enlightenment. If you listen to JOBU he can get you there. But arguing with him is a lost cause.

Check that. 6 outs and 5 batters free passes. Just walked home the second free run of the inning. Rockies need to get him out of there. He's not right.

Haha I do love the Jobu avatar.

I knew he wasn't a top starter or anything, but against a team that can't hit lefties at all you'd at least expect him to do decent considering he only allowed 3 runs in 6 innings in a much tougher park to pitch in just months ago. Not sure what his deal is today but he can't put a ball where he wants it to save his life.

And they leave him in... 9 guys on base and 6 outs apparently wasn't enough to convince the Rockies to pull him.

Who is managing the Rockies today? Bozo the clown?

Gonna be one hell of a comeback to get this one in. Am I the only one that could tell 4 or 5 batters ago that De La Rosa doesn't have it today? Yank him already jesus.

Read what I wrote. You can't look at a team vs. LHP and make a huge generalization. There are a lot of good lefties in the league. De La Rosa is as far from them as you can get. THEY HAVE HAD SUCCESS AGAINT HIM AND ARE CONTINUING TO DO SO. Somehow I'm not getting through to you. :think2:

If they are getting extra base hits they are seeing the ball out of his hand very well. That means they can draw walks, and he's as prone to those as butter on bread.

IN CASE YOU MISSED THIS...

I QUOTE: "Florida may hit .190 against LHP at home, but they hit .350 against De La Rosa, and everyone in this lineup has touched him up for a hit. Most have extra base hits, and this is in only the 2 games they've seen him."

They hit .350 against him? Only if you use stats from 2004 and 2007. He pitched very well against them this season.

I get what you are saying, but this line of reasoning has won me money for the last six or so years so I'm kind of stuck in my ways. It works out more than it doesn't... today it didn't. I think it had alot more to do with De La Rosa just not having it today than anything. Sometimes that happens. Even a guy like Brandon Webb poops the bed on occasion.

PS, Florida has not hit some crappy lefties this season as well. It's not just studs that have confused them.

De La Rosa has "pooped the bed" (who says poops... it's SHIT THE BED MAN!) in at least 4-5 of his starts on the road this year. He has 1, I repeat 1 quality start in 6 attempts on the road. How is his performance tonight surprising to you at all? These are professional hitters. It's not like they have zero skill against LHP. If they did they sure as hell wouldn't be the lowest payroll in the majors yet competing for the division lead against teams that have 3 times the money they do. The Marlins are a very very sound team and can hit the shit out of a lefty when the opportunity presents itself. De La Rosa on the road might be the BIGGEST opportunity they got in that sort of situation all year. And what did they do? Seems like this was the most predictable outcome of any game tonight if you ask me.

I'm right many days my friend... success comes from obtaining enlightenment. Try yesterday when I called the Brewers to be the dumbest bet on the board. Much like I did the Rockies today.
