"Gringo

The obesity rate is at 50% last time I checked. That doesn't mean 1 out of 2 is fat, it means 1 out of 2 is beyond fat. To the point that health risks are a serious concern.

Of course just keep injecting cattle with growth hormones. They make ranchers more money like that. What do those growth hormones do to the human body? Screw the testing, just open your eyes."

I did not mean to insult anyone, and as gringo rightly said, i meant it as a derogatory comment on a culture that feeds beef to their cattle, and growth hormones to their livestock, and genetically engineers tomatoes with pigs, a culture that is contantly plunging into new depths in terms of democracy, freedom (what about dubya bushe's plan of citizen "spy patrol" of 5% spying the rest of the 5%...), culture, the respect for the environment. A culture that has kids shooting other kids, blacks and minorities degraded into the mainstream stereotype of "i am macho, i got drugs, babes and a mercedes benz" instead of the once thriving activism and philosopy of the black panters say, which reactionary forces brutally supressed, infiltrated and imprisoned.

I have no doubt, the states are in a, well, state, of a decaying 21st century roman empire, on all grounds, that is soon going to give way to either renaisance or doom.

" If I remember correctly, an overwhelming majority of Americans were in support of the liberation of Iraq."

Ηοw old are you? Do you really think a country would "liberate" another one with no ulterior motive?

Plain truth is they spent more of your tax dollars to install a new dictarship to server their interests better than the older one which their cia and fbi, and other gun and drugs smugglers, had installed, NOT to further the populace interests, but to further the elite's.

Wake up and smell the coffee, dont victimize yourself, try to see throught the televised propaganda shit and assume some responsibility with respect to your free thinking and rights.

Jack, The polls showed strong support among Americans for military action even if weapons of mass destruction were not found. Most know there were many reasons why the United States and dozens of other countries went to war a 2nd time with Iraq.

Simply because you disagree with a position doesn't mean that position is 'propaganda'. Try to read a bit more in depth what is actually said by those in power instead of quotes 'news' magazines. Quotes like that tend to be taken out of context and fail to convey what the interviewed meant to be said.

A prime example is the Wolfowitz interview with Vanity Fair that created a huge storm. The interview, printed in its entirity at the Department of Defense website, conveys a totally different meaning than what Vanity Fair reports. Another example is Maureen Dowd's column saying Bush said Al-Queda are no longer a threat. Reading the full quote tells you quite the opposite.

Jack, you obviously have a slant on the news totally different than mine. Nothing wrong with that, but I am objective enough to look at other sources before I make my judgement. I don't get that from you, Grantt or RadioFreeCostaRico. If a bear shits in the woods, George Bush and those evil Americans get the blame. If tribal warfare breaks out in the Congo, it is Bush's fault.

Maybe you are the one that should expand your reading material if you expect anyone to take your arguments seriously.

Sphincter - Great point about the other countries being jealous of the US. I can't remember the last time I thought "Man, I wish I was in Greece" or "I wish I were in Costa Rica right now"

Where the hell is Costa Rica anyway? Is it down there near Jamaica?

What is Greece most famous for? The Olympics????? That's the only thing I can think of. Oh yeah, do people still wear toga's?
