Impeachment was seriously considered in the House. Orrin Hatch I think let him slide because he knew there would not be enough votes needed in the senate because - BIG SURPRISE - The democrats controlled the senate.

JP,this type of polarization of the two parties is what is killing America and why what needs to be done,doesn't get done.What difference does it make what party a thief belongs to as long as the nail his ass to the wall.When you take such a rigid party stance,you shut yourself off to potentially good ideas.These days bills are not voted on by their merits but instead by which party introduced them.And to stereotype either party is either completely this or completely that ignores and diminishes the few in government that will vote their beliefs because they can see the importance of moderate views.

It seems to be getting that way. Hope I don't live to see another civil war or the division of our country, split down the middle by the Mississippi, separting the democrats and the republicans. But if the latter happens I'll be living on the right side.
