I shared countless conversations with him regarding the NHL over the years. We hung out a couple of times including the use of VIP boxes he procured at the MGM. I valued and respected his opinions in anything surrounding sports betting but especially in dealing with hockey. He stepped up to the plate on numerous occasions in helping out posters who were having issues with slow or no pay from off shore books. He was honorable, knowledgable, and a big part of TheRx’s success in the early 2000’s. A true class act. I’m so grateful to have crossed paths with him. Thanks for the memories SS and the times we shared. Peace to you brother. God bless your family and loved ones.

SportSavant was a good spirit who wished well upon others around him. I remember Jack when he came to Vegas approximately 10+ years he was excited about the bash, working for THERX and explored working with Rick at Sportsoptions. He was scattered, had a ton of energy and was looking forward to moving on from a tough relationship up north. He got on the app dating scene for a bit, didn't really like it but had some great stories to tell including a funny story of someone treating him to a nice dinner and helicopter ride at night over Vegas and after several hours together he still didn't know if he was with a woman/man :think2:. He met some of my girlfriend's friends at the time and hit it off with one of them and dated for awhile and got along great. I saw him make 20k within a 3-4 week period betting hockey and other sports with not only his knowledge sportswise but also his ability to read screens/moves ...etc... He made people laugh and was fun to be around for the time he spent in Vegas. Eventually he pursued other projects, left town with a job and family connection overseas where we lost touch. He always spoke highly of THERX family and posters to me and liked to advocate for them if needed. He spoke highly of his group of friends back home which includes ClubmanCoop which he liked very much. Thanks for the fun times and memories JACK.

Two great tributes.

Thanks for taking the time to share.

Way too young, I'm 48, so it really makes you realize you mortality. I remember SS and Northern Ice in the hockey forums in early 2000's. Definitely, a huge contributor in the early days of therx. Way too young, just way to young.....

RIP SS

So sorry to hear. I had a job end in 2011 and my friends in Vegas invited me to stay with them until I got a new job. Jack invited me out to the Hard Rock just to shoot the shit. Like others have said, he was full of energy and loving life. It was fun to hang out with him at the bashes.

So sad for him and his family.
