Bucs...You are obviously a highly intelligent person. You are a respected poster, and I believe a moderator. Do you really think that when you start a post about how a book is the safest in the world and then end like you did that other prudent people might not conclude that you are alluding to a possible scam? If I interpreted this wrong, then i am sorry. Contests, you are right, are irrelevant. I just thought that based on what I read that you were in a subtle way saying that the casino can not be beaten, which is fallacious.
I am sorry for misinterpreting your words if I indeed did so. And we really do appreciate all of the kind words that you say about Skybook. I guess that's why I was shocked that you wouldn't at least email me first to say that you were upset about something. Sorry for the misunderstanding, and I am sorry for your bad fortune in the casino. All I can promise is an opportunity to make some HUGE FREE scores this year in Monday Night Football.

well the title i wouldnt think in any way would "hurt" rio....It was meant as a joke, due to the casino being tight, that they are safe....It was a joke...

And funny you mention emailing you first, i did message Mike when he was online, to make a joke about my bad luck, and told him not to worry about his raise, he would be safe...all in a joking manner...however he was busy, and didnt have time to chat...I am sure he can verify that i sent it with a smile..

Same as my kidding you about your raise...

So yes, you did take it wrong...I believe the casino is tight, but its not the only one online that is....I dont think thats bashing, and like i said, no where did i say you were "scamming" anyone, or "cheating", i just believe the percentages to be set high....

And thats your perrogative, just like its mine to not play...No one forced me....

I was simply sharing my experience, just like if i had lost a big game in the 9th....Wouldnt be Rio's fault that i made the bet, but i would still be aggravated...

Bucs, just wanted to say that I am totally sorry and in the wrong for my statements. For me to expect you to favor us because of the contests or because we advertise here was completely out of line. Your objectivity and lack of bias should speak volumes to the readers of this site. It is quite obvious to me that you do a great job of evening the playing field and that you will always balance your opinions evenly between the books and the players. Enjoy your weekend, and once again, I apologize sir.

Thanks for the apology, but not neccesary...

I try to be honest with anything i say...and that is why i made a point of saying Rio was still one of my favorite books, easily top 3...

And i share that opinion when asked...

Did not mean for this to become a bad thread at all, just sharing an opinion, after a run of very bad luck...

Has no effect on my opinion of Rio Sportsbook, a place i will always continue to play...

Take care, and enjoy the drinks on me...

Bucs, I apologize if it sounded like I was trying to come in and play good guy and correct you or something. I was just saying I played there in the past and did ok.

I know what you mean though, becuase the last time I played there I had a much tougher time. I guess it is the luck of the draw. Sometimes you get beat by 1 a lot, sometimes you'll get lucky and catch a ton of busts.

In the end it's up to the individual to decide what form of gambling he's willing to accept and wager on.....

Personally....I haven't been at a casino in years.....like sports betting more than events based more on chance as casinos offer....if I was to play casino it would be land based and in the flesh, not the online variety....

I have to see the cards and the dealers....seeing that 10 come out of the shoe to give the dealer a 20 means a lot more seeing it happen for real.....that 10 was coming out at that point in the shoe whether it helped me or not....

.....seeing that 10 come out of the shoe playing online....now you're thinking....especially if it beats you.....was that programmed to come out there????

Online programs can be fixed to create a specific profit margin for the casino.....can the same thing be said for landbased casinos? Do land based casinos know what thier take is going to be for the day on the bj tables???

I am finding the 9/6 Jacks or better to be very very fair.

After MANY hours of play, I am still ahead on a game that has a 99.5% payback with perfect stategy.

No, I havent hit any Royals either.

wtf is a 'tight' casino....

This really all depends on the rules of the card game does it not...

Aside from that assuming it is honest software the randomizer should be working each hand....

Wether you win or lose should all be controlled by a randomizer...

what type of Blackjack does Skybook deal?

DO they check for Black Jack before dealing the cards?

RIO/SKYBOOK is one of my FAVORITE sports books in this industry, period...

They would NEVER cheat a gambler. They always pay promptly. Glad to see that this has been worked out...

Every Sportsbook that has a casino will never lose in their casino! They will have winners but more losers! Its just like anything else you have to be at the right place at the right time! I noticed that when I win big at Caribs sportsbook and screw aroung a bit in their casino I lose but when I lose a few days in a row at their sportsbook I win in their casino! Its almost like we'll keep you winning at times at our casino not to piss you off and go elsewhere!

Fishy,
I'm not really an online casino player! I go to Turning Stone here in NY 3 or 4 times a week and hit and run! But ever since Carib reconstructed their 3 casinos I can't win! Use to but no more!

I was re-reading this thread this morning, and it still appears to me , that some people may have mis-interpreted what i was saying...

I was not coming here to bash Rio....They are one of my favorite books, no doubt...

I had extremely bad luck in the casino this weekend, albeit, for small bets, still, i was aggravated and was making a post that was semi-angry, semi-comical...

Unfortunately i now realize alot of people seem to think i was saying they cheated me, or scammed me....This IS NOT THE CASE....

when i said they had a tight casino, i meant that inlines with a casino boat, having tight slots, the payout % that the players get back....However i have since spoken to some posters, and people i know online that play at Rio, and found some of them to have had very good luck at the casino...

Therefore i am forced to re-think my position that the casino isnt "extra-tight", just my luck is...
icon_rolleyes.gif

Which shouldnt come as such a surprise to me...I am the type of player that loses in the 9th inning on a balk, or has the 20 pt halftime lead in bb, and gets beat by 10.....

I lose the cover on a missed extra point at the end of the game, etc..

So, I just want to say, i am sure their casino is the same as all other places, and i think i owe them an apology if anyone perceived my "poor-loser" thread to be accusing them of scamming....I never used those words, but some others did, and if that is the perception, then what i said here WAS WRONG....

Rio Shill and I are fine, but i felt i owed an apology to RIO if posters read my post as anything but a sore loser making a joke, and venting.....

Sorry guys...

Anyone else find rio shill's comments a bit disturbing? It sort of sounded like he had a guilty conscience about the whole matter.

No one said his operation was a scam yet he seemed to think bucs did.

Very odd.

I can assure you that is not the case with BUCS or any MOD at THERX, but you are certainly entitled to your opinion.

That is what makes this forum so fantastic.
