Some of you have asked about my NBA totals formula that I mentioned in the AFL forum and some of you saw how it worked at a different website. I constructed this formula because I always new that when it came to totals, Vegas experts used patters. So this year I made a point to crack thier secret, and I did.

As Of 1/31/05 it is ( 92-40-0 69.7% ) I found out that they KNOW what the totals are going to be 70% of the time. Now I know when they know! It just took some basic calculus and a little of some advanced algebra and a few weeks of losing some money, but I finally crack thier system! You see, there are possitive and negative turns that they use to throw you off the thier scent. And without a math degree, they know the chances of you finding out what they do is slim n' none! Now, I'm sure I'm not the only guy that has cracked it but, who cares if 20,000 people know this. There are hundreds of thousands of cappers out there that can't beat them at a 60% clip. Plus all the juice they get from us.

Now some of you are going to tell me that I'm crazy or I'm full of sh*t. But I tell you, watch how the results reveal themselves over the course of the upcoming weeks. Like me, you won't believe your own eyes! Now, I don't want to take the energy to go over the formula until I can sit down with all of you and start answering all your questions. So for now, just sit back and watch me KILL the book. Remember, there WILL be loses! Make no mistake about it. DO NOT PARLAY these selections, and if you are going to play them, you MUST play them all in order to get the full effect of this formula. Remember, 70% not 100%. So how will you know which one's will hit, and which one's won't? The answer is, you never will. But, if you do this right, you'll be rich trying to find out!

Now, the all-star break kind of threw a wrench in things but, I found out last night which turn it took. It took a negative turn and it went 5-3-0, but one of the loses went overtime that I had the under on. So without (OT), It goes 6-2-0 out of the break. I'll explain the poss. and neg. turns in the coming days, and what it all means. So with no further ado, lets get down to business. Oh, before I forget, you better not miss out on my Arena Football and CBB picks. Again, you won't believe you're eyes!

Riggs question?

I read you description of your service "across the street" and I thought we were to look at line movments from the Stardust and then make plays. Are ALL these plays listed actual PLAYS or are we suppossed to look fo the movement and the make the plays???

Joelatti, If you remember how the formula works from the other site, then you know to wait for the 2 pt differential. That's all. Remember, get the unders asap and wait for the overs to retract and then jump on em. These are the lines I played. I'm not stupid enough to think anybody will play these right away with me being brand new here, so I'm not worried about spilling the whole bean pot just yet.

Nice to see you here, I'll be looking forward to seeing what comes of this formula. I like the under on Sea/NO, but where did you get Sea o/u 193? I don't see it anywhere.

Riggs - also interested to see how this pans out.

I too have a totals system, which up to today in CBB and NBA has hit at a 64% clip (71-38-2, 4-1 last night). I'm against you on the Memphis Over and the Suns Under, being my two biggest plays of the night.

Hope everything works out for you, but tonight could be a rough one (for one of us at least). :howdy:

Madclown99, nice to hear from you again. I got it at the 'Suncoast' Casino here in vegas. I don't do online casinos anymore. Got tired of paying the man! Vegas is the only way for me.

No offense meant but if the linesmakers knew who would cover 70% of the time; My guess is they would be bettors not oddsmakers. I wish you well but I think you've probably hit on a statistical abnormality. Also the Stardust is not the 1st Sportsbook to post opening lines. With the heavy hitters wagering offshore I think the Greek posts the earliest numbers. I admit I am not possitive about this fact. Good Luck but others should be a little cautious before plunging in as my experience tells me system users beware.

Ramble on -

That is an impressive record for totals. You and I should get together on our systems once mine proves worthy. Nice job last night and I hope you come out head of me tonight. I'll probably get the "Rookie shaft" tonight and go 4-7 or something. Then all the haters will jump on board b-4 I even get going. You know how it goes on these things. Best of luck anyway!

joelatti,

those were the line that were current at the book at the time of my posting. Those were not the lines that I purchased. I'm sick of people telling me "Don't post what you're ticket says!" Let me guess, that would have been you're next post right?

Riggs-

I understand that your system is on a negative cycle and all of your plays reflect that except Chicago. I show it opening at 197 with their averages equaling 196.3. I would think this would constitute a play of under. Can you explain to me where my calculations are failing?

Thanks,

Baker

Baker -

You need to have the line at least 2 pts below or above the average of the two teams. I'll go over all this in the coming days. But like I said, Vegas got lucky with me for the time being, because we had a lengthy layoff and it's hard to tell if it's a poss. or a neg. If you look at tonights games so far, it looks like they did a quick possitive on us. It won't take but a couple of days to determin the new pattern.
