People talk shit all the time before the game. Very few people get all ghetto like Sherman did after the game. Like it was all about him. Absolutely nothing about the team. Are you really saying what he did is common in the game? I've watched football for over 20 years and that was probably the most ridiculous after game interview response I've ever seen. Come on man!!

Why do you keep calling him ghetto?

That's what made it great. We don't get to see that stuff. Now, we get to see Sherman vs. Crab for many years to come.

"He wouldn't make the top 20 of NFL receivers," Sherman said. "If any team had a chance to pick Crabtree, they wouldn't draft him." - Richard Sherman

Because his actions and response was ghetto. I call UFC and NASCAR fans ghetto also. Just thought it was classless. But that's who Sherman is. All about him, couldn't care less about the team.

Sherman is an emotional guy, but obviously he gonna be even more emotional after you put a mic in his face after a game he just played to get into the Super Bowl which is probably a moment he been dreaming of all his life....That said, it is a game at the end of the day and entertainment and some guys feed off that like Marshall Henderson from Ole Miss who some have labeled "a white thug" during his basketball antics on the court along with some things he has said.....Last year, Sherman and Roddy White (who also talks a lot) were going at it when Seattle came here to Atlanta in a playoff game, but the best way to keep him more quiet is beat him on the field......Some guys (such as Marshall Henderson above) actually feed off the crowd being against them so different athletes have different things that motivate them.....At the end of the day it is a game and entertainment for the viewers and in interviews you either get the cliché, politically correct boring answers or you get someone that keeps it 1000 like Sherman.

I thought it was awesome.

Bruschi went off like this like 9 years ago when NE beat the Colts it was pretty funny.

Like EF said its just entertainment. Not like dude is teaching your sons science class...

I mean shit man, he was excited. It was the play of his life. Geesh.

Yeah, you're right. Not a team guy at all. His teammates hate him.

I'm not saying he should go to jail or be fined. Just saying its ghetto and embarrassing.

I mean its a sport where a bunch of yoked up dudes smash the shit out of each other, its the hurt business

I said I think he is 1 crazy mofo but not like I care or anything. It's still funny to me when it happened...

It doesn't come off from his actions. Just an "all about me" guy. He's lucky he's on a winning team. A losing team would not stand his attitude.

I loved the line to Ed Werder...

"Is this a joke?" referring to Kaep throwing that last ball.

Yeah, a losing team would hate having the best CB in the NFL on their team. Gotcha.

I actually think it is a good for a defense to have at least one really charged guy to set the tone for an emotionally charged defense and his talent level is really high so I'm sure many would love to have Sherman on their team.

Sports are a business like anything else. "it's just a game", well a sandwich is "just a sandwich" but if Subway acted like Sherman I wouldn't buy their product. Lol

No different than having TO. People loved him when they were winning. The second they were losing, he was a distraction. Sherman would be no different.

You're comparing Sherman to TO? Wow.

TO was not liked by anyone in the locker room. Sherman is loved by his teammates and coaching staff.

You're reaching man.

Are you kidding. They are exactly alike. Sherman would be hated on a losing team.

yeah definitely. A lot of the best Ds in the history of the game had that "edge" to them.

In a game where all the rules are constantly skewing more and more in the direction of the offense, you need a chip on your shoulder and he has that.

Is he fucking nuts? Is he a prick? Yeah so was MJ, so is Belichick. A lot of successful people have that edge to them.

You know who talked a lot of shit? Ali. The most famous and revered boxer of all time

Hey, if you are fine with that kind of trash behavior on your team, more power to you. I would never accept that kind of individual on my football team. Too low class and selfish.
