It's an informal freedom of speech issue bc Kaep is within his rights to
protest by kneeling as allowed by the CBA. Hence why he was never fined or suspended. Notice how none of the current players are getting fined either? Wake up

I can't think of one profession in the entire country that wears a uniform that is allowed to protest at work. Not one.

Let's not confuse things here. These players are employees and the owners are their employers. If the employers want to prevent the employees from protesting tomorrow, they could.

What in god's name are you talking about? You do realize there are players protesting during the anthem literally every game?

At any given moment, an owner could fine, suspend or cut a player for kneeling for the National Anthem and there isn't a damn thing anyone could do about it.

The players are employees of a company. If the owner of the company mandated they stand or else, that's what they'd do or suffer repercussions.

There is no 1st Amendment right in play here. The 1st Amendment is in place to protect private citizens from government overreach.

Please let the adults talk now. Thanks.

This is hilarious. Please explain why they AREN'T being fined then? You do realize that players were being fined for wearing custom cleats right? So why not this?

At the end of the day, it's always funny to hear liberals scream "consitutional rights" when their political value system trashes the consitution. Even when they try to cite the consitution, like in the anthem protest, they get it wrong.

Our founding fathers designed a system for individual freedom, a small federal government, states' right, the freedom to pursue happiness.........

When you advocate a large federal government and government solutions, you're not an advocate of personal freedoms. Large govenment and personal freedoms are incompatible, PERIOD.

They trash the consitution on freedoms, guns, states' rights, immigration, legislating from the bench, national security and even the right to practice religion.

Then in a case like this, they trash the constitution again by pretending the first amendment gives you the right to do anything at anytime.

It's all as dumb as it comes. I can't even comprehend how they make some of the arguments they make. There's so much misinformation out there, it's astonishing, although I'm getting numb to all the hatred and idiocy.

Because the owners don't want to alienate their players but they also don't want to alienate their fans either.

The real question is "can the owners fine the players" and the answer is "absolutely."

Do you doubt the owners could put an end to this tomorrow if they wanted to?

Oh I see. They don't want to alienate the players by fining them? Then why fine them for cleats, or funny TD celebrations? Wake up

If everyone else is racist... Why did Kaepernick get fined by the NFL in 2014 for calling Lamar Houston (Bears) "A fucking N****R" during a game?

yet everyone is being racist against him?

WTF....??

Just being a useless troll. Kap is the loser in all this for walking out on a 12 mil $ contract. And if had to do it all over again the dumbfuck would prob volunteer to sing the National Anthem at every home game.

Keep up.

The owners don't fine players for the cleats. The NFL does.
