BINGO!!! Brees was let go not because he injured his throwing arm against them dirty Donkeys. His tenure with the Chargers was determined when they drafted Rivers. Brees was Schottenheimer's boy. Unfortunately, bitch ass AJ Smith couldn't get along with Schottenheimer. AJ Smith needs to take his "I cannot be wrong" attitude and hit the curb as well. Yeah, he's a great talent evaluator, but he also fucks up in the draft as well. Drayton Florence, Sammy Davis, Buster Davis...all busts. Wes Welker, undrafted, was released...great job there AJ. We gave up shit load for Eric Weddle, we gave up too much for Jacob Hester and what do they have to show for? Nate Kaeding in the third round..are you kidding me? John Butler was the one who drafted LT, Brees and brought in Schottenheimer. Way to disassemble your master's team AJ.
As for Norv Turner, this idiot is a proven failure at head coaching position along with another idiot Ted Cottrell. Redskins were glad they got rid of Turner and it didn't take Al Davis this long to cann Turner's sorry ass in Oakland. Cottrell was unemployed before AJ pick him up..doesn't that tell you something if a guy is unemploy? Sure, AJ wanted to keep the continuity, but he should have offered Wade Philips the hc position and keep Cam Cameron as oc at that time.
Turner will be back for 09 season. Whoever plays the Chargers next season have a pretty good chance of getting a free win. The entire AFC division is all hyped up..especially the AFC West. I'm tired of seeing Turner on tv every Sunday. Hell, even I can coach better than this idiot.
what i noticed was EVERY pass brees threw hit the receivers between the numbers. i've never seen accuracy like that before. chest high and center all the time. it was amazing. in a throwing contest, i'd take brees over anyone!!! bring montana, marino, young, manning and manning, brady... see who wins the nfl qb challenge again this year!!!
