stop beating around the bush, why don't you just tell me what I'd be paying and what kind of coverage I qualify for

I already did. If your wife leaves her job you will pay what is being paid now, plus 2%. The coverage will remain exactly the same. And that price and service is guaranteed for 18 months, by which time Obama will no longer be president. Because you wife's employer currently only compensates her jack shit, the exact cost to you will be jack shit +2%.

Because you don't like wikipedia, I can give you a google reference that spells it out less succinctly than I did: https://www.google.com/search?site=...ekpsrh...0...1.1.64.hp..2.4.406.0.Fdqedqd2zJQ

please do tell old friend, what can one do to avoid paying taxes when earning more than 250k? What has Barry, Harry and Nancy taught you about this matter?

The majority of six figure earners I know pay only around 5% in federal income tax, no state income tax, no payroll taxes, no social security. For sports, a lot of the EV is tied up in seven to 10 team round robin parlays. When the week comes where the games go 19-3 someone comes in from another country that only taxes gambling winnings once and collects for them. At a blackjack game, show the max bet once and get out of there. The IRS does know about video poker jackpots, which isn't necessarily a bad thing. It shows some earnings and can be easily offset by itemized deductions. The doctors and business owners have to pay whatever Obama says they must pay. But those are the choices we all make.

If annual income is under six figures it's even easier. A lot of years some might say I even had a negative federal income tax rate through the EIC, which is definitely a good program for all of us: much cheaper than food stamps and welfare that EIC recipients would otherwise be getting.

next barbanman is going to tell us the higher income individuals don't pay the overwhelming majority of taxes, they somehow avoid them (wait, my bad, he already did that)

Her employer is paying $1,750 per month just for your health insurance? And she still has to pay another $400? Yet the paychecks the give their employees are "jack shit?" Definitely a strange way to run a business

25k per year out of my pocket does not make me happy

12k to 15k, still sucks but I can absorb 1k per month

2k+ cuts into my vices (or my retirement), there's only so much I'm willing to give up for liberal causes

and remember, not only would I have high premiums, I'd have something like a 5k deductible as well

lose lose

I'm pissed the Patriots game is still competitive at halftime, but I have faith (and thick skin)

I sure do learn a lot down here :)

You never had a shot with NE. That game was taken care of before the plane landed. Same as Pit-Zona. Two Bookie $pecials. All I heard was anger and revenge blah blah blah all week. Steelers first TD should have been overturned. All scoring plays are reviewed right? So how do you uphold a TD when a foot comes down, an entire ass lands out of the endzone, and THEN the other foot comes down. Come on!
(See Barman, another rant that made me feel better :))

All this means is the majority of six figure earners you know come from 1 extremely small industry. This isn't applicable to 99% of people.

Also says you could probably use a bigger circle of friends/acquaintances outside of that Vegas bubble

No kidding. Because everyone can and should be a professional gambler in Vegas.

"But those are the choices we all make" face)(*^%

These days pretty much everything the govt does is redistributive in one form or another - inefficiently reallocating capital to special interests, rich AND poor.

In a true free market with limited govt, other than property taxes, the rate for pretty much everyone would be 0%.

Lol, you wanna bring your taxes down?

Move to Vegas and find inefficiencies in how to bet round robin parlays.

Someone should run on that platform.
