Major fault, if you could call it that, in Pitts defense is that they are very susceptible to the pass. Zona will attack the corners and will have success spreading out the defense. The one caveat is will Pitt be able to get quick pressure on Warner, he gets rid of the ball quickly. With 3 weeks to prepare I am sure Pitt will put something in place but something to think about in the meantime.

Just like Philly did to them yesterday??? I don't think that Pittsburgh blitzes as much as Philly does. If Warner gets that 1 second or two, he should be able to get rid of the ball like his gun-slinging days back to the AFL and the Rams. Seven points just seems to be too much imo here. Plus everyone and the world will be on the Steelers. Not saying that I am taking Arizona as of yet, but it seems like alot of points. It seems like it is going to come down to which offensive is going to give its QB the most time to pass.

Arizona's wr's are freakin studs no doubt about it. Just kinda wonder what happened with Boldin and the oc yesterday. Read that he did not even participate in the post game celebration. What a fucking prima donna if that is the case.

unless there is something I am missing, the Steelers head coach was a defensive coordinator from the Vikings??? My point was the Steelers did not hire from within but went out and took someone from another team...Does someone have any info on Mike Tomlin EVER being an offensive co.????????

Defensive coordinator one year for the Vikings, then before that Tomlin was a defensive coach, not coordinator, for the Bucs five years.

well they aren't doing a good job of training guys from within if they have to go take someone's defensive coordinator.
this was in reference to the Steelers having 3 coaches comment, Tomlin was a defensive coordinator! nice car comment that was benefit to the forum for all...Personally I hope the game is a close one, however if the Cards can't put pressure on Ben and keep Warner off his back it will be blowout city... I'm leaning to the over as of now

As one can see above. Alot of the assistants have been there for quite some time, so, that being said, Whisenhut knows these guys. Especially offensive coordinator and the defensive coordinator. There same system is in place with all these coaches, with the exception of a few tweaks here and there. No way in hell is this team stamped with Tomlin's likeness. This is still Cowher's team with amount of coaches that have carried over from his regime as well as alot of the same players as well.

Whisenhunt_Ken.jpg

Head Coach: Ken Whisenhunt

Hired as the 34th head coach of the Arizona Cardinals on Jan. 14, 2007. The 44-year-old Whisenhunt has spent the last three seasons as the offensive coordinator for the Pittsburgh Steelers and helped the team win Super Bowl XL a year ago. In all, he has spent 10 years as NFL assistant coach and also played nine seasons in the league as a tight end.

Whisenhunt served as an assistant on Bill Cowher’s staff with the Pittsburgh Steelers for the last six years, the first three as tight ends coach and the last three as offensive coordinator.

In his first year as coordinator, the Steelers rushing attack improved from 31st to 2nd and the overall offense ranked 16th behind rookie QB Ben Roethlisberger. His second year ended with an NFL title after the Steelers offense averaged 26.8 points per game in the playoffs. This past season, Pittsburgh’s offense ranked 7th overall (9th passing and 10th rushing).

Whisenhunt took over as Pittsburgh’s offensive coordinator in 2004, the same year the team drafted Roethlisberger. The rookie QB set an NFL record with wins in his first 13 career starts en route to Offensive Rookie of the Year honors. The next season he became the youngest QB in NFL history to win a Super Bowl and finished third in the league in passer rating (98.6).

He previously coached at the pro level with the New York Jets (tight ends, 2000), Cleveland Browns (special teams, 1999) and Baltimore Ravens (tight ends, 1997-98). He began his coaching career in the collegiate ranks with Vanderbilt for two seasons (1995-96).

A native of Atlanta, Ga., and a graduate of Georgia Tech, Whisenhunt played nine NFL seasons with the Falcons (1985-88), Redskins (1989-90), and Jets (1991-93). He finished his college playing career ranked second on Georgia Tech’s receiving yardage list (1,264 yards) and fourth in career receptions (82).

Redus now we see why your still driving that piece of shit in your photo
You are a true benefit to this forum with comments like that. Tomlin was a defensive coordinator and not hired from within....It's my 3rd car and runs an 11 second quarter mile..Steeler could have easily taken Wis. or Grimm, but instead went outside. I think this adds plenty to the interesting matchup already. Also AZ beat them last year

Hmmm

Hmmmm...It seems like the only people backing the Steelers are all posting from either Pittsburg or Philly....What's up with that??
