Rehashing the "visa for the wife" question

the thing thats delayed me the most is the 6 months of residency requirement in order to begin the immigrant visa process here at the costa rica embassy ... i didnt go the residency route because i was told naturalization would be easier/faster in the long run .. its been a year since i started that, found out yesterday that TSE has all my documents, and its in the final approval process .. however was also told that can take 6-7 more months *sigh*

do you have to do the Spanish and Social Studies test? Naturalization takes much longer than residence unless you are from Spain/other Central American country etc

I got my wife to the states on a fiance visa it took a while after she arrived i had to marry her within a certain time period of time or she would half to leave she tried for a tourist at first but no go so thats how i got married for the 3rd time its not as bad as my first 2 marriages but its no day at the beach either :ohno:

thats only a requirement if you seek naturalization via residency etc. naturalization via marriage does not require that.

however i am now fluent in spanish and know enough about costa rica history/culture where a quick review would have me passing thier exam if i had to.

what a freaking surprise, the lawyer that we asked this about 2 years ago sent us in the wrong way, thanks for posting that link bigj............

the ONE TIME I ask one of these bozos for something and they send me the wrong way...........

one more comment, that link is totally clear......we will take care of all this paperwork nightmare (just as we did with her residence) and we will not be paying a cent to an useless lawyer............

I am so furious right now that I wish I could shoot this person............no wonder I never let anyone do any research for me......they always fuck it up .........this being another example ##)
