Key numbers in the NBA are

2--5--7

I charted results for the greater part of the year and you would not believe how common it is. After doing this I Rarely bet teams that are +1.5 -1.5 +4.5 -4.5 +6.5 -6.5

Teams get up a certain amount and other teams wont foul due to respect, if there is limited time left.

IE) Minny and GAry Payton are a good example of this.

Would not those numbers have more meaning if landing within the .5??????? Many of the 1.5'...4.5's etc. could have been 6-8- etc. spreads???

Makers:

I should have been more specific, I assumed that most of the people on this site would know what I was talking about. Since there are obviously NO half-points, and we dont bet to push, my graphic should look like this:

Rarely Bet

+1.5 +4.5 + 6.5

I dont bet many favorites so in actuality these are numbers I tend to stay away from most in terms of Dog numbers. I will still bet these numbers occasionally but only if there is extreme value IE) The pistons in Game 2. They were -4, I couldnt pass that one up.

Just my opinion but after getting KILLED in the early part of the season in Hoops, I had to make a change and this seemed to help. Attn Sharps: Is this smart or stupid? Am I limiting myself by employing this method.

Shrink there is no need to offer an apology to OF.

I do agree you handled the situation wrong as far as saying that you thought the Lakers could win by as many as 17, then when they won by 7 which doesnt come close to the 17, you came back on here bragging how you bought the half point. Now I have no doubt in my mind that you bought that half point but the way it came off sounded very much like a tout and we all know how respected they are in this forum.

As for OF, well if he is going to be a big baby about something like this then good riddence. He will be back soon under a different name. Seems to me this guy is a little immature. He goes from saying this forum saved his life the night before to saying he is out of here the next night. WHATEVER!!!

Shrink at least you acknowledge that the post about wining was in bad taste. I can only believe you did win and you were so engrossed in wining that your had a brain fart and made the ridiculous post. Thumbs up for coming to your senses

Take the pts tonight. We (Twolves) won't go down without a fight. If the Lakers want us out, go ahead and kill us in LA, not on our own backyard. GO MINN.....

This is about a respected poster coming in and saying, "Lakers will win by 17." So sure that he doesn't even post a line. Lakes fail to cover by a half and he sheepesly says, "Oh even though I said it was going to be a blowout, I bought it down to 6.5 cause, umhh aaah 7 is a key number and I always 20 cents worth of points when I believe its going to be a blowout." IF YOU POST THAT IS GOING TO BE A BLOWOUT. DON'T COME BACK AND TOTALLY CONTRADICT YOURSELF BY SAYING YOU BOUGHT POINTS. YOU CAN'T HAVE IT BOTH WAYS. But then again what do you expect from a gambler. Who tell taller tales gamblers, fishermen or politicians. Hint: I'll lay you odds.

Don't worry Shrink, this board won't judge you off one night (unless it is at the Party).

Just to show how sharp I am, I have never hears of the key numbers in hoops.

The one thing that sounded the worst is that you said that "you assumed that everyone checked for the best numbers". Now I have the outs, but a fair number of lurkers here may only have one book or a local and cannot buy points. All water under the bridge.

There are a lot of frogs in the world. Frogs come in all colors. Most frogs begin their lives inside eggs underwater. The female lays their eggs in the water. Frog eggs are held together by jelly. Most frogs do very little to protect their babies. The egg hatches. It is called a tadpole. The tadpole breathes oxygen from the water. It has a long tail to help it swim. It takes about six weeks for it to become a frog. A frog eats bugs. It uses it's big sticky tongue to catch bugs. The bumps on frogs look like warts but they are actually poison glands. Male frogs have one or two pouches of skin called vocal sacs. Some frogs have poison in their skin.

The Shrink did nothing wrong..........................Frogman claims to win every day but upon further review had many losing days...................Frog claims to win even when he posts no plays...............I'd rather see plays by The Shrink then Frog. BB
