Im just saying, check his stats this year guitar boy, I could care less about last year when they won it all. Although he has gotten his ERA down from over 17, which I guess could make him one of the best in tht scenario..
Hes been hurt. He's slowly getting back to form. This is pretty much common knowledge. Go look at Grienkes stats in 2005, is he awful now?
I'll add my 2 cents to this thread. Im on philly tonight cuz Hamels keeps pitching better and better and going deeper into games. His ERA is inflated becuz he was hurt at the beginning of the season and gave up 12 runs his first 2 games, but he has not given up more than 2 runs in his last 4 starts. Your only as good as ur last start and 7 innings, 1ER, 9 K's is pretty good. Also throw in the fact that the Reds only hit .221 against lefties and Votto is questionable, I'll take a shot at the world champs with their Ace on the mound at what used to be a reasonable price at -120.
